You mean those "dots" the Clinton administration had been making for eight years?
To: Dallas
Safire is conservative in some respects, but he is strongly pro-abort.

If I knew this were true, I could drop dead tonight and die with a smile on my face. Maybe so. But I bet you'd rather be around to see an enjoy it!

Safire is a guy obsessed with his own "brilliance." He's got a cool persona (good for the tube, unlike Rush), but gives me a ROYAL pain in the arse. AFAIC, he is a liberal dressed up as a conservative.
I wish he would just shut up already!

"Gridlock is great," he said. Took the words right out of my mouth.

I think Condi could win. She's the Democrats' worst nightmare, and that alone makes me smile. I bet dollars to donuts that if this were to happen, roughly 95% of the africanhyphenamericans and black americans combined would still vote demoncrap. They seem to love the old liberal plantation too much.

We may never elect a 60+-year-old for president again.Ya gotta keep tabs of the 5-year-plans published by the UN politburo.
By 2008, American citizens will be ineligible for appointment to the presidency.

Memo to Safire (you ignorant dolt): Quit dreaming - no pro-abortion candidate will EVER be nominated as Republican candidate for President in my lifetime (which has at least 40 years left), including Giuliani. In 2008, presuming Bush is re-elected in 2004, we'll most likely see brother Jeb, and possibly Frist, Gov. Owens, or, obviously, someone whose name most of us don't know yet. But rest assured, they will view abortion as the great evil that it is. Yes, yes, Bill - Nixon was god, and it was better to have Clinton in the White House than either Bush I or Dole. Loser.

Easy enough to push him in front of a bus once the election's over. LOL, but true.

JEB/RICE will probably defeat Hillary in 2008! YOU NAILED IT! Jeb is next!
To: wideawake
Great. Just what we need - two abortionists running for president in 2008.Here we go...All or NOTHING, right? I hope you'll enjoy President Hildabeast.
To: Moosilauke
Condi won't run. She's great as a policy advisor, but she has no evident political skills. You really ought to get elected to something else before you try running for president. I guess President Eisenhower didn't get that memo. :)

Human life is non-negotiable.
If Rice, like Powell, was wishy-washy on an issue like school vouchers, or capital gains tax cuts, or affirmative action, or ANWR drilling, etc. I'd still support her.
But there are two issues that I will not compromise on: human life and homeland security.
To: Dallas
I would vote for Rice anyday but to shoot Hillary down in flames would be so much sweeter.

Like it or not, and for better or for worse, that's the number one reason that the Dems will control the White House from time to time over that period.

A woman president!?Why not?

Mr. Safire is horribly underestimating the power of Dimocratic voter fraud! This prediction may come back to bite him!
To: philosofy123
I always thought he was a Republican? That certainly doesn't mean he wouldn't vote for Clinton. Heck, during the Trial of Shame (Impeachment Trial in Senate), Fred Johnson (R-Tenn.) voted 'not guilty' on one article and Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins (both Republicans of Maine) voted 'not guilty' on BOTH articles, just to name a few.
I have little doubt that in '92, and again in '96 there were probably hundreds, if not thousands of Republicans that voted for Clinton out of a total of some ~100 million total votes cast.

OOps! Fred Johnson = Fred THOMPSON
