Glad he's OK. Going to have to start using Goodyears on those planes. :^)

Yes, but I don't doubt Tony hitting a deer. You ever seen him drive? yup. that's why nascar will refer to him as winston cup champion next week. it will be an interesting group on the stage in new york.
tony earned it, but i was hoping martin could pull one out.

Too much Viagra. Someone got to close to a tire. Maybe they should start putting Viagra in the tires. ;-)

Hmmm.....not sure he earned it, unless ramming through the pits and on the track is good sportsmanship. I miss the days of when they run what they had, but they respected each others safety. I think many do, but some don't, Sterling and Tony in particular.

DU suspects Republicans are behind it. LP suspects freepers are behind it.
FReepers suspect Al Queda...

I'm not a racing follower, but isn't there another Martin racer that died in a plane crash a few years ago? Any relation?

Payne Stewart? In a Lear 45, I believe.

Nice bird! But I think he parks this one at his house!

Maybe they meant the yaw or pulling to the side. Must not have looked at their instruments, maybe because it happened so fast. There was no time to react to information from instruments. Most take-off incidents of this kind result in everyone on the plane being killed.
The pilot made a good decision and everyone walked away from an airplane that will be in service again after modest repairs. Amazing. This almost never happens. These folks were VERY fortunate. Mark Martin should give his pilot a very nice bonus IMO.

I've watched every race this year (yeah, no life) and I've waited to hear an announcer say something to the effect of... "Mark Martin's Viagra #6 looked good, but he couldn't keep it up"...
Not happened yet for some reason.

I'm not a racing follower, but isn't there another Martin racer that died in a plane crash a few years ago? Any relation? I believe it was his mother, father and sister that were killed in a plane accident a few years back .. Also the Team Owner Jack Roush (sp?) was is a nasty plane wreck no long ago and almost died

I've seen pictures of him with the plane, I think he does have a pilot's license...a lot of the racers share private planes, golfers do that too, easier to get from place to place

Mark Martin and two other people escaped serious injury after his private jet blew a tire and skidded off a runway Sunday night in Phoenix. Women and children hardest-hit ...
