Ohio was slapped around too with this storm front. Have kids outside of Columbus...they are all OK. FNC is showing damage in Van Wert, OH. Very bad. TN was hit hard too I know. Prayers for the families who lost loved ones, and all our help to those who have to rebuild. Whatever you think of the Red Cross, this is the area where they shine.

And it hit at 7:45PM on a Sunday night, not a good time for those just getting out of worship.

They're reporting that the tornados that hit in Ohio were a category 4, with winds in excess of 200 mph.

The rain was driving sideways. My back was soaked through and my front completely dry. I ducked into a McDonalds when the hail hit for several minutes.
I was oblivious to the extreme weather just north of Columbus. The northern surrounding counties were all under Tornado Warnings. I was very lucky that the extreme weather angled just a few miles north of me.

It was bad here(I'm in the Columbus area). I had somewhere to go that night and the clouds were immense and I got in about 20 minutes before the mayhem started. All night the other ladies there were getting calls from their hubbies, some were coming in later having whethered hail storms and intense wind, scared out of their wits. I think everyone wanted to go home and be with family, but the weather was too bad to pack up and go home. I don't remember a storm this intense even during the springtime.
