How in creation, can 150 people be "missing".

Because they didn't answer their Nextel? IMO, misleading and sensationalist.

I agree. Tornados don’t generally “disappear” people.

They're "missing" until they find a phone.

It was my understanding that the entire town of Mossy Point is gone. If all the buildings disappeared, then it could have also taken some people with it. In 1994, we had a tornado near Memphis that deposited a desk originally in Germantown, 35 miles away in Covington. In a mountainous area like Morgan County, bodies strewn all over the place could be hard to find.

When I was stationed in Texas I saw a tornado "disappear" a mobile home. Picked it up clean and made it go away. Where to is anybodys guess.

That number of missing may not be accurate, but the death toll keeps rising. There is so much rubble that they are worried many more are still burried in it - some perhaps even trapped in their basements or safe areas. I pray the rescue workers are led quickly to those who still need help.

We are down to about 40-50 missing...most of this is a communication nightmare as the phone lines are down.

I pray it isn't so but they could be dead and the bodies not located yet. Tornadoes do strange things. Sometimes whole buildings can be carried away and strewn all over the countryside.
