This series, appropriately titled "Herod's Heroes," is intended to separate the wheat from the chaff by revealing those men and women, for whom the citizens have voted, and who are not upholding the ideals God expects of His children. We cannot condone sin, and they are promoting the most vile of sin by being accomplices to the slaughter of millions of innocents in the womb. That is why, like the Judean king of Christ's time, who, out of political expediency and jealousy, tried to eliminate the Messiah by killing the first-born of every family, so also they are helping satan in killing God's precious ones sacrificed at the altar of the convenience of modern life. These "Herod's Heroes" are under the totally false misconception that a woman has the right to do with her body as she wants. Wrong! It is not hers, but rather God's. The body we have is merely a shell to hold our soul. The soul is forever; the body, as we are reminded on Ash Wednesday, will return to dust. Christ has said in Matthew 10: 28, "Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather be afraid of him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."
We continue with our list of pro-abort members of the United States House of Representatives who claim they are 'Catholic.' Third on the list of congressional pro-abort 'Catholics' from the State of California and twelfth overall is another Democratic congresswoman from Northern California Nancy Pelosi. As an ally of satan through her uncompromising pro-abortion stance, she is enabling lucifer to "destroy both soul and body in hell." Through her actions she has become an enemy of God and the Roman Catholic Church. This is not a political statement on Pelosi, but rather a moral statement. One she and her bishops should take very, very seriously.
Nancy Pelosi has served as representative for the 8th Congressional District which covers the City of San Francisco. Like yesterday's "Herod's Hero" Ellen Tauscher, Congresswoman Pelosi is a transplant.
She is another from the east coast who found her way to the hotbed of the "left" coast - San Francisco - the modern day Sodom in concert with Los Angeles - the modern day Gomorrah. She originally hails from the Catholic neighborhoods of Baltimore, Maryland. In fact her father Thomas D'Alesandro, Jr. served five terms in Congress representing the Baltimore District and followed that up with twelve years as Mayor of the city. Politics runs in this Italian Catholic family for her brother Thomas D'Alesandro III also served as Baltimore's Mayor after her father. She was raised in a Catholic environment, matriculating through Catholic grade school, high school and receiving a degree from Trinity College in Washington, D.C., a small Catholic University run by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.
So where did she go wrong? Who knows. She married in the Church to another Italian Catholic from San Francisco Paul Pelosi and they have five children. Sounds like a good Catholic family, doesn't it? So why does she continue to deny millions of babies the opportunity of life through her 100% pro-abort record throughout her political career in the 8th District of California?
No wonder there are problems in Northern California! It's time to peel away the pretense. Either she's Catholic or she's not! There's no 'half-way Catholic'! God won't stand for it and neither should we! By her record she has clearly shown she is not Catholic.
One reason she could possibly have gone down the wrong path was that she became involved in San Francisco politics at the same time Archbishop John Quinn served as Archbishop of San Francisco. We can't call him a shepherd because he was a prelate who left a sad legacy for Catholic principles. He is a disgrace to the Church and we make no apologies for him. And this same disgrace has been perpetuated by Pelosi, who has sold out to the political correctness of the feminist left. She has forgotten the values she learned as a child that true feminism is exemplified in Our Lady through humility and obedience to God's Holy Will as she instructed in John 2: 5, "Do whatever He tells you."
Through her actions and record over the past fourteen years she has illustrated a disdain for the teachings of the Catholic Church and Rome's mandate of upholding life in all stages by her promotion, votes and legislation of pro-abortion measures that empower the culture of death. Congresswoman Pelosi will have to answer to God for these transgressions against Christ's innocent ones as Jesus says in Matthew 25: 45, "'Amen I say to you, as long as you did not do it for one of these least ones, you did not do it for Me.' And these will go into everlasting punishment, but the just into everlasting life."
We ask her to repent of her ways, help turn the Democratic Party away from the culture of death and the immoral organization it has become under the evil leadership of Bill Clinton whose immoral standards she has defended without merit or credibility. She is not an innocent victim. She has been an active Democrat since 1976, even serving as the Chair for the 1984 DNC National Convention in San Francisco. We ask her to help bring the Party back to the glory days when the Party stood for decency and right, to those values her father fought for. Today the Democratic Party is so far Left that its members, who continue to promote abortion - murder in the womb - could very well be left out at the Heavenly gates when their time comes.
Is Congresswoman Pelosi truly aware of that? We call on all to help her see the grave error of her ways and we call on her bishop in the Archdiocese of San Francisco Archbishop William J. Levada and in Washington D.C. Cardinal Theodore McCarrick to take firm, responsible action to assure that if she continues to persist in the sin, she will be banished from the Church for remaining a Catholic while carrying on the sin with no sign of repentance is a slap in God's and His Church's face. As we wrote in our Ash Wednesday ......OPEN LETTER TO THE BISHOPS OF AMERICA and a week later in ....It's up to you. Left or Right? we respectfully, but strongly recommend this time of Lent and Easter as a time for the bishops to extend the warning - a time of Mercy - for these wayward 'Catholics' who promote abortion to repent of their ways. If they stubbornly refuse, then after Pentecost Sunday it's time to take action and dismiss them as apostates. Do you really want that, Congresswoman Pelosi?
You can e-mail Congresswoman Pelosi and, in love, ask her yourself. Beg her to repent of her ways. Remind her what Jesus asserts in Matthew 16: 26-27, "For what does it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, but suffer the loss of his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of Man is to come with His angels in the glory of His Father, and then He will render to everyone according to his conduct."
