The Democrats who stood up to the president and showed strong opposition leadership were the ones that won on TuesdayAnd who would these Democrat stalwarts be, Babs?
Yeah, she gets it.

I, for one, will continue to urge the Democrats ... to be vocal in conveying the differences to the American public. OMG! I agree with her!!! Yes, by all means show us your true colors!!!!!
Oh. She really meant "continue to misrepresent the Republicans." Oh well..

The Democratic Party was not able to articulate a clear message -I'm tired of hearing this clap-trap. The dems FORCIBLY delivered their message all over the nation: Reject Bush.
That was their message from Election Day 2000 until Election Day 2002. They had no OTHER message because they DON'T HAVE ANY SOLUTIONS. Their "ideas" are to return to the failed ideals of the New Deal and Great Society.
They think those are still viable because, heck, it gave 'em power for decades, didn't it?
On the contrary: I think it is the REPUBLICANS who now have the onus upon them to articulate a clear message. They must do this by ignoring people like Babs Streisand and our Leftist media, who don't and never will care about what is right.
They need to begin to articulate the message that a large minority of the electorate already embraces: Smaller government, lower taxes, more individual freedom, and less government INTRUSION in our lives.
You see, no one has really tried this in about 70 years or so. It's time that the conservatives were able to have a turn. We need to be given about twenty years to see if our ideas will work.

LOL! Barbra has made the transition to comedy.
George Bush will grace Mount Rushmore when this woman's irrelevant voice is long forgotten.

Tax cuts for the rich, destruction of the environment, a prescription drug plan that covers only a very small percentage of seniors, an inadequate pension reform bill, an overly aggressive foreign policyI want a overly-aggressive perscription drug plan that inadequately destroys the environment for the rich.

I'd still like to see the party of FDR, Truman, Scoop Jackson, Sam Nunn, and Hubert Humphrey reappear, then I wouldn't hate them so much.

Ann Coulter said it all recently when she began her column with the line, "It's hard to say whether election night was worse for Saddam Hussein or Barbra Streisand."
Appreciating Ann Coulter here...

This is actually good that they think that the Dim's didn't "have a message." Babs isn't the first one I have heard say that they lost because of this. Please, let them continue to believe this. They will make their voices louder and more shrill in 2004. It will backfire, and they will lose again. You see, the Dims DID have a message, and the people heard it loud and clear. And they REJECTED the message.

The Democratic Party was not able to articulate a clear message
Kind of hard to do when an organinzation is devoid of such to begin with.
- was not able to convey the very real and very many differences between the two parties.
Seemed to be plenty of difference for he American people to make a choice between a party devoid of purpose and message (Democrat), and a party having a clear vision and strong purpose which the American people like(Republican).
They did not allow the American people to make a meaningful choice.
Sure did, and the American people clearly made that choice.
They never articulated what it was we were voting for,
Sure the Democratic party did. Nothing is what the the Democrats were to supposed to vote for according to the Democratic party. They only know how to support a vote against ideas programs and vision, not for such things.
and in doing so they failed to motivate their base to go to the polls.
What base is that pray tell? They were at the polls, whoever were interested in the Democrat's message. The Democrat base are in the minority by there own choice of constituency. Can't of more of something when there aren't any more to be had. DUH!!

Which part about policy about Iraq don't the democrats like?
We just joined in a 15 nation, unanimous resolution, providing for entirely peaceful settlement, provided Iraq wants such.
Do the democrats want him to KEEP the dangerous weapons?
Do the democrats think their beloved UN shouldn't act in this way?
The truth is, they have been outsmarted, on policy, stratergy and tactics.

The Democratic Party was not able to articulate a clear message..... Babs, it's clear that they didi and that the public rejected it.

The Republicans are excited to "roll" their agenda through the Congress:
tax cuts for the rich
destruction of the environment
a prescription drug plan that covers only a very small percentage of seniors
an inadequate pension reform bill
an overly aggressive foreign policy
And a horde of extremist federal judicial nomineesSounds good to me!

Hark thou vile knave Republican!
Didist thou bite thy thumb at me!
Mark me, I shall spendith more Shillings
Yet now, I must recline on sofa and have my victuals
And moveth now to France

"The Democrats must once again return to their roots as a strong and directed party fighting for the betterment of the poor, working and middle-class Americans that make up the great majority of our country.'And this snob considers herself qualified to be the voice of the poor, downtrodden masses???
I heard the other day she launched into a political diatribe to the interior decorators at her mansion bidding on decorating the newest addition.
Some voice of the poor....typical Socialist Democrat oxymoron.

They never articulated what it was we were voting for...And yet you pulled the lever anyway. What a dumbass!
Hint...a wise person would see this as a flaw in themself. But that ain't gonna happen, is it?

Exiting House Minority Leader Dick Gebhard wanted it made clear to the public that it would now be Nanzi Pelosi's resposnsibility to answer "The Babs" e-mail rants from this day forward.

Why does anyone - on either side of the aisle - care what this dingbat has to say? She hasn't been elected to anything, and she's just some celebrity mouthing off. She doesn't really position herself as a pundit. It's just some singer ranting and raving.
Is it because she's liberal? I know that a lot of celebrities have things to say (more often than not, idiotic things). Why are hers not ignored like most of the rest of them.
