"How will Ms. Pelosi do it?"
You asked, "Any thoughts?"
She can't. Isn't this funny as hell?

Her angle on all this is to suggest that all her role involves is "managing process" and she will not unduly influence her colleagues by her own persuasions. I'm hoping the D's will buy that argument and that they hold her to being a simple facilitator. The latter is not leadership, it's technical operations work.

She doesn't strike me as the kind who will move right. She got the job by being who she is, and I doubt she will change. Just looking at her face, I doubt if she CAN change.

It depends upon if she is the spitting cobra or the plane old "sink in the fangs and slobber the venem in". She has a mouth much like the spitting type, the tongue is forked and she drools venem when she speaks. Sorta reminds me of The Hildabeast huh?

Imagine living in a district where the Green Party comes in second to Nancy Pelosi. That has got to be hell on earth.

Nancy Pelosi is a child of the sixties. She is a radical flower-child with nothing but disdain for the country.
I believe that the Dems are more concerned right now about losing their base to the Green Party then beating Republicans. They are really going to have to go to their base with reasons for them to remain loyal.
The problem for the Dems, is that everyone knows that Moderates dont stand for anything. So, if they are going to have any credibility at all, they have to go left, and pray that there are enough idiot liberals left for a majority.
Bottom line; the Dems are really screwed.

Nancy Pelosi might be a good move for the DIMs, in their own little, insular, media-minded world.
After all, Nancy is a Womyn. The DIMs can now try n' be the Wimmynz Party. Nancy can say and do whatever she pleases, - 'cause no one will DARE come down hard on a Womyn. Even though we're all now enlightened and non-sexist, it will still be "unseemly" to question a womyn (or "violate her space" or point a finger, or...or...or).
After 100 kazillion years of Male Oppression, it's time for All Womyn to have it Both Ways. And the lamestream media will do all the advance work and block n'tackle for her.
It will work beautifully...right up until the '04 elections. Then, the DIMs will have to go into high spin once more. Perhaps replace her with a more fitting representative.
Like a brain-dead quadraplegic.

Is she cut in the mold of former mayor Alioto? That's the question.

??? While this is a fun thread, Nancy got 79% of the vote in her district...She can move to the right all she wants and still be safe.
I hope the rest of the country gets to see/hear the new "voice" of the left...I predict a gain of 30 house seats in the next election.

Pelosi is the BEST thing to happen to conservatives since
McGovern....
Pelosi.... White Woman worth 60 Million dollars
Pelosi.. . City of San Francisco / Tax payers should pay for
Transexuals to have sex changes..
Pelosi... Left of Left
Democraps made HUGE mistake.. actually money can't buy you love.. but money did buy Pelosi the seat...
She didn't need to spend a dime to win in San Francisco
so she spent the time financing others to get elected with
the their vote as repayment...
Her time has come... and so has ours ...God Bless America..
To: EarlyBird
Maybe she'll run out for more botox or another face lift.

Seriously? I think the Dems are moving to the left in an attempt to de-Clintonize their party and re-define themselves. This will please the old New Dealers like Harkin asc well as playing to the types who voted for Pelosi.

Tuesday showed us what happens when the message is too liberal and much is at stake: The voters killed the messengers.
I'm content for her to lead her party into oblivion, and I believe she'll do just that if she's as liberal as I've heard.

She's so far left that she thinks Hillary is a conservertive. Here's hoping that she will drive a few of the yellow dog dems into the republican party and with her at the helm that the rest may self- destruct.
To: EarlyBird
Yeah, my thought is this: the RATs didn't learn a thing from the election. They are continuing to self-destruct.
