You say it like its a bad thing.
More than half of the Libs I know defected to the R's in the Senate race here in Co.
Gov. races are the *perfect* place to send a message. Or as my backstabbing anti-gun Republican Gov. Bill Owens likes to say to gun owners: "What are going to do, vote Democrat?"
I did not vote for them except in one less important race. It didn't make any difference. Most of my guys lost because of that absolute idiot we had as a governor the last 8 years and who intently wasted money we didn't have on stupid unnecessary projects.
Tommy Thompson controlled WI for 16 years, no one could touch him at election time. His replacement McCallum, couldn't get the vote out. Look at the numbers compared to Thompsons past races. GOP voters did not turn out for Mc Callum. Place the blame on the door step it belongs; the GOP of WI.
Any Republican whiners our there who want to make a little bet? Now that the GOP controls the House, Senate and White House, how much will you bet that government will actually grow smaller? Let me know, I'll gladly take your money.
I'm more of a realist about politics. I support the Republican in close races unless there is some highly specific reason for me to not like that person. When the gap is large in either direction, I go Libertarian.
So who is sillier, those who send the message or those who pay the price for not heeding the message?
Maybe if you Republicans sent more messages to your candidates others wouldn't have to.
Maybe if your party addressed the concerns of those who voted for other candidates, they wouldn't have a reason to vote for other candidates and send messages.
Food for thought by thoughtful people. Know any?
Yes, everyone has a right to vote however they want to.
But for heavens' sake - WHAT IS SO DIFFICULT ABOUT UNDERSTANDING THE RESULTS OF ONE'S VOTE IS AS IMPORTANT AS THE VOTE ITSELF????
