Hey, I actually know where that is. It's really close to a snazzy used book store that I go to. :-)

Anyone up for a statewide meeting at the Bush 41 Library in College Station on the 23rd?

Then maybe you can suggest a post-meeting watering hole?

H-town

H-town. There is a fake rastafarian that uses that term on the KPFT Sunday night reggae show. I want to slap him every time I hear it. In your case, you can slap me.

a statewide meeting . . . on the 23rd?

I think it's a great idea, but it may be a little too close to Thanksgiving. That will be a very busy weekend for me. Do you already have something planned?

Nothing formal yet, but we have been trying to schedule a trip to the Library to see the exhibits there for a while now. The 23rd is the first non-football Saturday and after that, Thanksgiving and December is even harder to schedule something.

DrewsDad is tossing this idea around. This is during my busiest time of the year, but I thought I would ping y'all to it.

Something like that needs a significant amount of lead time. Good idea, but I would suggest slating this in late January at the absolute earliest.

Nov. 23 is very close to Thanksgiving, and the holiday season is a bad time to even plan out-of-town day trips like this. Early January sounds good at first, but I believe Texas A&M is still on break then and the library may have vastly reduced hours.

Love the idea but I'll be on the road to Iowa at that particular time. Sorry!
