Post-Election Begala: Petty, Mean-spirited Spokesman for Democrats ("Crossfire" Transcript)
CNN "Crossfire" transcripts ^ | 11/7/2002 | N/A

The exceptional nastiness of Paul Begala on yesterday's "Crossfire" is yet another example of petty, bitter Democrats who are incapable of accepting defeat with any grace or dignity:

BEGALA: No party has gained seats in an off year since the last midterm. Look, you guys, you pick up, what, three seats in the House and two seats in the Senate and you get your panties in a wad. And you all have a celebration. You need a party, go out and have one, but this is a little...

BEGALA: Bob Walker, I want to second what Tony said, congratulations to you and your party on a well-run campaign........you control the White house, you damn sure control the federal judiciary, we learned that in the last election.

What are you going to do with it (your control)? Let me suggest a few things. ….One of the things they reported is that today, on the stock market, the following sectors moved up on news of the election: tobacco stocks, asbestos stocks, chemical stocks, oil stocks, insurance stocks. You guys are now going to have to pay back every one of those sleaze bag special interests that financed these campaigns, aren't you, Bob?”

BEGALA: And Tony, some of those nominees for the Supreme Court are going to look like the third guy from the left in the evolutionary chart, right? The sort of knuckle-dragging...

Paul Begala: hatemonger, race-baiter, liar, drive-by-insult talk show host, and EXTREMELY SORE LOSER.

I think it's fabulous that he's a visible media champion for Democrats and is the living, breathing embodiment of the morally bankrupt (and sore loser) Democrat Party.

Good heavens. I knew the guy had a screw loose but this is ridiculous. Paul needs to go commiserate with the idiots at DU, they are the only people who agree with him.

He still can't get over the fact that he cannot demonize President Bush.

At least CarVILE had the decency to put a trash can over his head on election night. CarVILE was also a no-show on Crossfire yesterday. Perhaps his wife ordered him into the time-out corner for 24 hours so he wouldn't embarass himself (and her)any further.

As bitter as "the forehead" is . . . nothing compared to Larry King's interview election night with Bill Myers (ex Politically Incorrect). The guy's face was contorted rage as he spewed out vitriol.

I'm no doctor but my diagnosis for these hacks is "emotional retardation".

Then how come the Dems went to such great lengths to save Torricelli's seat? If it ain't no big deal, why are Daschole and Gethard so bummed out? Begala is a pathetic little toadie. He should get on the cast of the West (left) Wing so he can pretend and live in the little socialist fantasy world he so yearns for.

And, by the way, nobody in the Bush admistration had the lack of class to gloat and lord it over the loser Dems. That must be what is really killing you, Begala, the class and decency of the Bush adminstration, knowing how, each and every day, their example makes the administration of X42 look pale, petty and pathetic in comparison.

What a hateful little boy!

Begala is..and always will be..an unhappy man. He gets his jollies trashing any and all conservative ideals. He has wriiten at least one book in which he just trashes GWB. I agree that this is the type of individual we want to see in the limelight right now. Maybe some well-meaning Dems and Independents will see the lack of class that so well defines the democratic operatives.

LOL--that's right: The Bug has ANOTHER book coming out, "It's the Still the Economy, Stupid" (another book dedicated to slamming George W. Bush) The Bug's last book with CarVILE was a real loser--on the 50% off racks within weeks of hitting the bookstores.

The BUG will really sell a lot of his latest book, especially after the election, right? ROTFLOL!!!

Hey, I wonder if the networks are talking about the Clintons' failure to influence this election. Both Bill and Hill were out on the trail trying to sway the party faithful. I doubt that we'll hear any negatives about this, knowing that their love affair with the Clintons is still hot and heavy.

Look on the bright side: If he keeps this up maybe he'll have a stroke and lose the ability to speak.

Say one thing for Begala--he's funny. That line about "third from the right on the evolution chart" had me howling. LOL!

You know, I'm detecting anger for sure...but there's something else. It's frustration! And why is there frustration? I'm glad you asked. It's because they don't realize they've lost their most valuable player! They don't know why this happened, and they don't know why they couldn't make anything stick on Bush. It has a great deal to do with his character. But there's something else. Remember when all the dems had to do was tell America an outlandish, unmistakable lie and get people to believe them? Remember how easy it was for them to demonize our leaders, our intentions, our policies, and get the sheeple to buy in? Why didn't that happen this time?

I think that the credibility of the main stream media was finally done in by the Clinton crowd, I don't know when it happened, but if I'm right, and the "mushy middle" is no longer gullible because they consider the source, then the democratic party is in deep doo-doo and they don't know why! Thus the utter frustration.
