They'll have to do another skin graft over the tendon on the back of his hand. It's the one leading to his middle finger. We knew right from the beginning that that part of his injury might be a problem requiring more treatments because it wasn't seeming to do as well as the other tendons on that hand. When he first injured it, we could see the tendons when they unwrapped the bandages daily for the whirlpool treatments to his hand. But we're hopeful they can work their magic on him. I think the worst case outcome will be some limitations in his left hand, but he should regain most of the mobility in it.
