Here is the latest message on their site for anyone that might be interested...
Due to the unexpectedly high traffic to our website since election day, we are currently limiting access to our message board. Only individuals who have donated to Democratic Underground during the last year are being given access. This is a temporary change which will only be in effect until our traffic returns to it's pre-election levels.
We regret having to implement this change, but we felt it was the fairest way to keep the website open during this difficult time. We are currently planning a significant and costly server upgrade so we will not face this problem again in the future.
Please be aware that if you donate, we cannot give you access to the forums until we make it into the office tomorrow morning.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

It sure is hard to be a RAT today!! I did read the DU site BEFORE they took their ball and went home. A bunch of panicky, desparate people there. Kinda reminded me of stories of the infamous stock market crash. People jumping out of windows...

The funniest thing I saw today on TV was Linda Vester after Terry McCoughiffe had his little BOO-HOO speech. She said, "That was Terry McCauliffe, head of the Democratic National Committee. Boy. He kinda sounds like, a....Sore Loser."

I got into the DU forums and they were FILLED with people claiming they were going to leave the country for Australia, New Zealand, and Canada (they are about to legalize pot there, ya' know). Absolutely hysterical.
What wasn't hysterical was their talk of us going to war with Iraq and losing. They want us to get our butts kicked so they can take back power. Sick!
There was also quite a bit of discusstion on how the revolution can't come from inside our country - too many idiots - it will have to come from without! Yikes!
These people - and I use the term loosely - need serious help.
