An Honest Question

Could yesterday's elections outcomes be the results of a diminished amount of corruption in the voting process?

I believe that is a factor as well as the GOP get-out-the-vote effort unprecedented for the Republican Party.

All I know is it's morning in America again! What a great day to be alive and Republican in the greatest country in the history of the world!

I agree. The Democrats took their voters for granted and made some huge assumptions.

They were wrong.

I think that this is a factor. Note the places that conservatives still lost, such as Illinois. The new voting machines in Florida made it harder to conduct vote fraud in the old way and no doubt contributed to an honest conservative win.

I think people have underestimated the cross over vote of minorities.

Not really. The factors are 1) A very energized GOP base, 2) People rallying around Bush, 3) Clinton repudiation, 4) Very savy political strategy by Rove, a deciple of Atwater. 5) Dems having zero to offer.

Possibly...

But I can't... I refuse to believe that most Californians are dumber than rocks.

Talk about mixed feelings!
Now that California will be pushed into irrelevancy (to say nothing of bankrupcy) it is serious time to be looking to move.

If Minnesota weren't so damned cold...

Never addressed:

The issue of illegal alien registration in California.(And every big state) The entire state's voter rolls are just going to have to be verified for citizenship, addresses, etc. This issue is the 900-pound gorilla of CA politics and Simon (and every one else on the RNC Team) deserved to lose because they didn't have the cojones to kick the big ape's.

If there are not 250,000 illegally registered voters in LA alone, I'll buy every legally registered Democrat a drink.

I am willing to bet that more Mexicans are registered to vote in CA than citizens are registered in ME. (Minus the Somalis, of course.)

Let's savor this election for a long while. It is God's gift to our country when we needed it most. But we still have to get back to work and end electoral fraud in the big states. The 'Rats will come back with a vengeance to steal them back. We ain't seen nothin' yet.

Let's also hope this election signals a new maturity on the part of the African-American voter. Many of them stayed home because of the obvious betrayal of their interests by the 'Rats. If a few more can take the next logical step in every succeeding election ... who knows what we could accomplish with them

Anyone seen any numbers on this?

No, I've seen no numbers, just through talking with minorities I worked with that I had no idea would vote republican, but outright said they did. After several indicated the same thing I began to wonder if its a trend.
