Some pundits said this race could be a bellwether. Neither side has a real advantage yet. Northup was the slight favorite here.

Every time Northup runs she has a tight race. She was also targeted by Dems last time around for voting to impeach the sinkmeister. If the first results in are her down 2% I think that's pretty consistent with the way her races report, with her usually closing hard at the end. Fingers crossed!

This IS a bellweather. With Northup in a Democrat-leaning district, if she does well, it signals a trend.

Northrup is leading 52 to 48 according to this: http://www.wave3.com/Global/link.asp?L=52369&nav=0RZECCo2

They have projected her the winner.

I know - I'm watching it on WHAS 11 - even though I live in southern IN (anxiously awaiting the Hill/Sodrell race wishful thinkning - I know - but still..)) - anyway - I hope Northup pulls through - I've been really worried about this one.

I have a friend who is a friend with Anne - and she told me that it's REAL tight!!

Looks like Anne is probably going to pull this out.

Sodrel will stay close to Hill, but I don't see him overtaking him unfortunately.

Kentucky Secretary of State Website Northup ahead 52.3 to 47.7 with 55 percent of precincts in. Not sure if the inner city of Louisville has reported yet. If not, Anne is in trouble.

Strangely enough, the inner city precincts usually report at about the same time as the other precincts.

I think Anne is looking really good right now.
