Oh yeah, well President Bush called me FIRST ! Neener neener neener! :-D Yeah, but I'm the photographer that shoots his home town high school football games! Don't believe me? Check here!
Yes, those are really the Crawford Pirates (also having a winning season!) and they're really my photos! It's actually been a lot of fun!
To: Tigercap
I know Tigercap, I'm very disappointed. Especially since 90% of women voted for her. Not this chick. But cheer up. She will NEVER get anywhere nationally for two reasons: 1. She was born in Canada, and two, she's too big a threat to Hillary.
To: Darlin'
Luckily, I bought a compact-yet-tall desk and stuck it in the living room--I knew I'd never see my family otherwise!
To: Norman Arbuthnot
This was a BRILLIANT move by the Bush Admin. They had to dump this guy, and waited until tonight, where it will get ZERO news play and cause ZERO political fallout. Incredible. I thought no one was better at spin than Clinton, but move over Bubba!

Hon, most of Maryland is populated by communists and socialists and a few tree huggers. Yeah, but mainly filled with stupid soccer moms. I'm a soccer mom now, hanging out with other soccer moms. It just kills me that they are pretty conservative but vote for the rats!

The 'Market ought to be pretty responsive to it tomorrow. Not much activity yet. S&P futures are up, but only a tad.

McCallum's own polling has him down today. It doesn't look good. The 1% reporting is probably an organized Milwaukee suburb.
To: Timesink
Fox reporting that if Norm Coleman does not win tonight he may be picked for an appointment by Bush.

DU appears to be down.. .he-he-he. This is looking pretty good... They are panicked..It crashed due to an Obscenity Buffer Overflow.

From DU:
Sigh ....
As a pessimist and depressive I know I'm a bad person. Try as I might I can't seem to muster up the postive attitude the rest of you folks display. I was failrly upbeat when I voted this morning. It felt good to vote a straight Dem ticket. I know I'll get hollared at for this lack of hope but watching the returns on the boob tube and the web demostrates to me that the Rethugs have the upper hand. With few exceptions things are generally going their way. The huge turnouts touted throughout the day must have been at best fanciful on our part or at worst trending to the 'Pukes. The HUGE margain Jebbie seems to be holding is the worst. Katherine Harris's win is equally depressing, especially given the false hope of her going down in flames that was posted in the GD Forum earlier this afternoon. Now Dole wins NC. What's next? A Modale loss? A Cleland loss?
I hope I'm wrong about the trending to the 'Thugs. I so deperately hope that I'm wrong. I'd give up anything to be wrong. I just don't think I am.
Bottom line for tonight: Perhaps a atatus quo for the Senate - although we could still easily lose it. Perhaps a seat or two pickup in the House, although that's probably toast too.
I still think that the sheeple are afraid. Really afraid. It's the 9/11 factor for sure and even though they don't say it overtly, I think that they see W as some kind of lord protector. The status quo is highly comforting to them. It's too bad because a 3 branch Rethug hegemony will be historically disasterous for this county.
So - I've taken my 2 Xanax's so I can sleep and tomorrow I'll will myself awake and go through the daily slog at work. I'll do it day after day waiting and hoping that someday the sheeple will stir from their torpor, rub their eys, survey the destruction to which they've acquiesced, and get to work rebuilding what they themselves have destroyed.
I'm sincerely sorry. I just can't share in false hope any longer.
Bob D.

Ooooh, Carl Cameron on Fox says that Carnahan needed a strong black vote in St. Louis and that Talent is currently ahead in St. Louis...good news.

SEC CHAIRMAN!
To: Ragtime Cowgirl
Wow, thanks for the information. The disinformation is amazing. I'm just listening to the results for Talent in Missouri and even in St. Louis he is doing ok, and Sununu is winning in New Hampshire. What a good night for us, for the Prez and for the country.

I'm with ya. both left feet twitching ta shuffle, but gotta wait f'da fat lady ta croon tha righteous toon, y'dig.
I swear, the anticipation is going to drive me buggy.
Probably wiser to go to bed and find out in the morning, instead of torturing myself.
But, nahhhh. I guess I'm going to be a masochist tonight.
