I can't believe, with the criticism Baxley had over using our money to have a fireplace in her office, she produced her ads sitting in front of a fireplace!
We had the pleasure of meeting Pres. Bush in Birmingham and in Auburn. What a great American.

I was not sure what was expected here. How are the Pubs doing against the polling numbers?

Thanks for the post, what wonderful news. Siegelman's ads have been running non-stop and they have been treacherous. It would suit me just fine to never hear his name uttered again.

I think Bob Riley-R will beat Siegelman-D (The governor) and give the Republicans a 'pick-up' in governors.

According to my source (which is a national pollster who is very familiar with Alabama and polls regularly for Alabama Republicans), if Riley's victory is large enough, he might be able to pull Armstead up!!

"Siegelman's ads have been running non-stop and they have been treacherous. It would suit me just fine to never hear his name uttered again." Yup. The local TV station, WKRG (Mobile), is #5 in the whole nation for volume of campaign commercials run this election cycle. (Per: the Mobile Register)

The first sign of what I predict will be a surprisingly strong showing by Republicans in gubernatorial races around the country.
Alabama--Illinois--Oregon
All states in which Republican candidates for governor were written off by those who are supposedly in the know, but where the Republicans may well win today. (To say nothing of California!)

As an Auburn Republican, I've often wondered where my loyalties would be if I had to pick one person to go to war with (an Auburn DemocRAT or an Alabama Republican). As much as I scream War Eagle during those intense fall Saturdays, I would have to say Let's Roll! the rest of the week!

The clinton-lite ad that irritates me the most is the hokey hoe-down song. Notice you live in Dothan so I want to let you know, if you did not know already, that WJRZ-FM, 93.7, is now talk radio. Hannity on 2-5.

"Rileeeee, ridin' on a pony...." It has been torture hasn't it?
Siegelman maintains that Riley has one of the worst attendance records in Congress. Of course, he fails to mention that Rep. Riley's daughter suffered through 18 months of chemotherapy before dying of cancer a year ago. Riley mentioned (while here in Dothan last Friday) that he would not have traded the time he spent with his daughter for anything in the world. Siegelman's attempts to capitalize on this tragedy is, to me, a new low for democrats. Yes, 93.7 is pre-programmed into my car stereo - thanks.

hokey hoe-down songThe ads a politician run tell you what he thinks will appeal to the public. Gives you a good idea what Siegelperson thinks about Alabamians. I'll take Riley's "...My Home's in Alabama..." over that crap any day.
