Of course, one has to know what a lightered-knot is to live here.Isn't "lightered" kindling? But what the heck is a lightered-knot??

Or spread rumors that right wingers in NOAA are out seeding clouds. It's all a conspiracy...

Lightered is kindling. The pieces are cut from a lightered knot, which is a large piece of pine that has, over time, become kindling. The knots are very heavy, so when it rains alot, it's sometimes described as a "lightered-knot floater".

Voted at noon near downtown Atlanta(Grant Park)at a very demo precinct. No lines, but busier than I thought it would be considering the weather. The touch screens worked well. The poll workers said there has been no problems with them.

Undoubtedly another Rebublican attempt to deny blacks their right to vote.

Still raining here in Marietta. Just returned from voting, and the turnout has been pretty good despite the rain. Hope we say good bye to Cleland tonight.

I just got a call polling about the 2nd Amd. First question--Did you vote today? One of the parties is already polling in preparation for the '04 election. Did anyone else in GA get polled?

"Rain in Nashville and Memphis, both Rat strongholds." Rain and a tornado watch in Mobile. Just got back from voting a straight Republican ticket.
