Last week I hit the 10 ring at 400+yds with open sights on my old M-1 Garand (I used to shoot 1000 meters with open sights using the same weapon when I was in the service). I think my eyesight is better now than before the accident.
Now if I could just fix the other eye I could play golf.

Incidentally, Republicans recently gained the lead in voter regisration in conservative San Bernadino County which is the fastest growing county in California (and the largest country in terms of geography in the country). If the California Republican party can mobilize all of these voters SB could figure to be big in the state governors race.
To that end the Republican party called my 17 year brother and offered to pay him 100 dollars to visit the local polling place at regular intervals to make sure all of the registered Republicans had voted. He couldn't do it because he has school, but I might fill in for him (though I am at work)

You should call 1 866 VOTE 411, which is the Dims vote fraud line and report your "concerns" that people are not being allowed to vote in AR. See how long until a lawyer shows up! LOL! Good luck! Wish I could vote for Hutchinson!

I voted here in MN. I was #274 for the day, and I voted at 9am. Good sign for Norm, as I live in a highly Republican District. I do wonder how the Governor's race will run in my district since Tim Penny's running mate, Martha Robinson, used to represent us.
Local talk radio (KSTP 1500) is reporting that turnout is high at all the polling places. It was snowing earlier, I was hoping that would discourage some of the DemonRats from showing up.
There is a flap up here regarding the supplemental ballots used to vote the Senatorial race. State law specifies that the ballot "must be handed directly to an election judge, who then immediately places it in the box". Seems that some voters were able to place it in the box BY THEMSELVES!. I'm just waiting to see if there will be a lawsuit filed on that!
Hang tough, FReepers!! :)

Voted straight Republican a little before 9am. We have rain again today and the turnout is expected to be light. So far, my precinct seems to bear that out. Praying for strong Republican turnout nationwide. May God continue to Bless America.

Everyone please also give weather report -- rain and heavy rain expected today in New Orleans, Atlanta, Memphis, Little Rock, Charlotte. This is good for GOP and particularly bad for Cleland, Landrieu and Bowles. Anyone agree? Not everyone agrees with that conventional wisdom. Here's what Matt Towery of Insider Advantage had to say about bad weather in Georgia, in an Augusta Chronicle article from the weekend:
The weather could be the deciding factor, Mr. Towery said.
"If it rains, the congressional race could become tighter because - contrary to what everybody says - they always like to think about Georgia in the 1920s. And we're not in the 1920s anymore.
"Usually when it rains, Republicans and white candidates suffer, and African-American and Democratic candidates do better. A lower turnout always inures to the benefit of a Democrat/African-American candidate. That is historically supported by virtually every election in the 1980s and 1990s in Georgia."

Vote straight Republican ticket here in Alabama. Hope we get a new governor tonight...the one we have is AWFUL!!!
To: PosterQue
I voted in the Old North State (North Carolina to y'all who don't know what I'm talking about) for Liddy and a bunch of other Republicans. I really tried to see if the Dims had anyone worth voting for and the best they came up with was mediocre.

Early Nevada voting here. I voted straight Republican. Voted no on anything that would increase taxes. Voted YES on Question 9, the decriminalization of Marijuana. Voted YES on Question 2 to not recognize gay marriages performed in other states. Question 2 is in it's second round, so if it passes again this time it will be incorporated into our State Constitution.
Cheers!
