Chester County, PA. Voted about 10:00 am (to let the employed folks have the early morning hours). Steady but no real line. Young male Dem campaigner outside trying to hand me literature about Dem congresional candidate. I said, "Sorry, Bud, I'm pro-life and I vote!" Black woman going into polling place in front of me chuckled. I took that to mean she agreed with me and was voting Pubbie (was I wrong???). Happily punch carded a straight Repub ticket and checked my chads.

I just think the RATs are prepared to commit the biggest voter fraud everI'm just wondering what it will be; we know there will be something; just wonder what they've come up with this time.

Voted at about 10 a.m.
There weren't very many people there at the time. I'm not sure what number I was. Voted straight R. I really really really really really REALLY don't want Sebelius as governor.
Voted - no one else there at 12:20 EST. That's scary.
To: Yaelle
Yaelle is that you? From the GD board? MUST be! DH and I just voted straight GOP ticket too, except for 10th district (Tauscher), where we were forced to vote libertarian since there was no GOP candidate running at all.

I pushed all those R buttons!!! Not very many people there after the morning rush. My next door neighbor was the Republican poll watcher.

Just got back from the polling place here in MN. Hubby and I voted together for NORM and PAWLENTY, and all the other Republican candidates. Place seemed to have a steady flow of voters, nice turnout.
For all the research we did on the obscure offices, wouldn't you know there were two races for Soil and Water Commissioners or something, which we knew nothing about, so we didn't vote for any candidate. That ticks me off! Even someone who tries for hours to find information on the internet for who is going to be on our ballot can't get the info we need to be knowledgeable voters! Yikes!

Western North Carolina, heavily Republican area. Weather is heavy rain.
At 2:00 there was a long line at the polling place. Poll watcher said the voter turnout was the heaviest in years! Good news for Dole!

Voted straight "REP" this morning; glad I waited instead of voting early I always mark the Republican Party line at the top of the ballot. I then go through the rest of the ballot. If there is a Democrat candidate without a Republican opponent, I vote for the Libertarian candidate (as a protest). This year (due to the increasing strength of Republicans at the state level) there were no races where there was a Libertarian but no Republican. Nueces County is still dominated by RATS so there were still some races where the RAT was unopposed. I have only voted for two RATS ever. In 1982 I held my nose and voted for Benstsen, because the Republicans nominated a real goofball candidate for the US Senate that year. I voted for Mark White in 1986 against Bill Clements, and I don't regret that. I felt vindicated in the spring of 1987 when Clements revealed that while he was on the SMU board of regents, he approved of payments to athletes in violation of NCAA rules. These payments were made after SMU had already been put on probation for violating NCAA rules and resulted in the SMU football pregram being subjected to the "death penalty" for two years.
