I don't know, personally I think this particular gun owner is quite a jerk. Immediately assumed FBI was out to get him, his actions directly caused what should have been a routine investigative stop needlessly into a confrontational scene. Of course the media wants a confrontational scene so they can play it all over the news and get ratings. Amazing, this guy is trusting the media over the FBI, in the case of domestic terrorism....

Of course the media wants a confrontational scene so they can play it all over the news and get ratings. When the people who were murdered by the government at Waco hung signs out the windows pleading with the media to protect them from the federal thugs by watching things, it fell on deaf ears. The media soon became cheerleaders for the government.

"Immediately assumed FBI was out to get him"
Good assumption. This is the same outfit (run by pretty much the same people) that slaughtered American citizens at Waco, Ruby Ridge, and just recently shot the face off an Eagle Scout in Maryland.
I'd say he's more than justified to be skeptical.
As for the FBI and their requirements, they can go pound sand. If they won't follow the US Constitution, we will elect someone to abolish them as an agency altogether.
