Something doesn't seem quite right about this. In all of the election-related articles and news broadcasts I've seen over the last two months, this is the first time I've seen any mention of "Wall Street's shenanigans" or even the fact that the Republicans need a big issue. Remember -- an off-year election is generally seen as a referendum on the sitting President, so it is the Democrats who need the big issues here.
It sounds as if Morris wrote this article eight months ago.
We're trying to figure that out in Pennsylvania. Ed Rendell (big city Demopuke, big taxer, pro-abortion and anti-gun) is way ahead of Republican Fischer in the governor's race. Go figure.
