Interesting. Considering the seething resentment that many in the rural communities in the south have for the illegal alien influx (especially at the Tyson plants) this could turn some of those undecided votes in the GOP direction.

Conventional wisdom says the 2000 Presidential election was so close because of the last-minute DUI revelation from decades past. Don't forget the last-minute indictment of Cap Weinberger (?) that probably won the election for Clinton in 1992(in addition to the Perot factor).
