This is my first vanity ever, and it's just here as a warning. To any of my friends from here who are also on www.libertyforum.org, do NOT try to contact me privately on that forum. The person who has signed up as "cachelot" on that forum is not me.

The technique of ripping off internet identities is a fairly old neo-nazi scam, first seen in Europe. It serves many purposes, from pure harassment to attempts to gain access to private communications, which sort of brings it into the realm of wire fraud.

I have made repeated attempts to reach the owner of "Libertyforum" to get him to remove the "cachelot" registration. I know that the messages have been read - and have even received an apology from one of his associates that the registration was still there a couple of days later. However, as of today, JD has not answered any of the messages sent to him, nor has he done anything to remove the offending false identity.

So, again: the person registered as "cachelot" on Libertyforum is NOT me, Cachelot(tm), and any private messages meant for me should NOT be sent there.

Nah, they posted only once, and just something neutral. Like someone hoisting a flag and saying "I'm here". Which is why I'm sort of leaning to the "trying to get access to private communications in a fraudulent manner" angle.

Which is what I'll drop into the feds lap if I haven't had a public apology from the guy responsible for the place by the start of next week.

They have. The disenfranchised and poor abused former posters from FR have made it a nesting place for their demagoguery and bitterness particularly against those "zionists".
