Cheney Makes Case for Action in Iraq During Indy Fundraiser

[WIBC News] - Vice-President Dick Cheney says if the U.S. goes to war in Iraq, it will be "for the sake of peace." The vice president was in Indianapolis Friday morning to campaign for Republican candidate Brose McVey.

Cheney says investigators have "undoubtedly disrupted" many terrorist plots since 9/11. But he again charged that Iraq in particular is harboring terrorists and weapons of terror, and warned the U.S. will act with United Nations support or without it.

"History has often called on Americans to defend our freedom and to defeat some of the gravest threats that humanity has known," says Cheney. "We've accepted that duty once again because we know our cause is just and we understand that the hopes of the civilized world depend on us."

Cheney says the United States isn't out for revenue, but the country will fight for it's security. He says wars can't be won through defensive measures alone.

This is a short article, but it is the copy from the radio broadcast, which explains the brevity.

Cheney was here to campaign for Brose McVey, who is dead even with the incumbant democrat Julia Carson. Carson's district has more Republicans in it than before re-districting (the democrat legislature apparently miscalculated on how many fraudulent votes she could manufacture) and with fraudulent absentee ballots just seized (HA!) by the Republican County Recorder we have the makings of an upset here.

Cheney may have put McVey over the top!

Oops, it was the Marion County PROSECUTOR who seized the ballots. The Recorder simply reported the irregularities.

Here is the story:

Absentee Ballots Seized in Marion County

10/31/02

By wibc.com

[WIBC News] - The validity of absentee ballots are being questioned as the Marion County prosecutor's office seized dozens of suspicious ballot applications Thursday.

"it is our job to investigate it," Prosecutor Scott Newman said.

A total of 78 ballots were in question, due to signatures that are inconsistant with those on file with the voter's registration board.

Among the problems include the product Wite Out beign used to change some addresses.

Typos are those of the reporter. Scott Newman is a Republican. It looks to me like we have paid attention this year!!! Good job, Mr. Newman!!

Yeah, yeah, we all know you're a big supporter of the administration.

A small effective war now is better than a large and dangerous one later. I take it you prefer the larger, later option. I don't.

I can't think of one instance in American
history that would prove your statement.
But, I could be wrong.
