OK..Russell, speaking of God and Angels and the paranormal...try this.

My Mom was in her last day of Renal Failure. She had been in the hospital for awhile...a very small place..not many people worked there.

She had only hours to live, and a Handsome Blonde young man came into her room and spoke with me. He took my Mother's hand in his..then asked me "where is the ring she loved, who has it?". Mom never took the ring off, but her fingers were so swollen, we had to take it off...she cried.

I told him.."I have it"...He nodded his approval.

He was dressed in all white and I especially noticed his shoes, they were white leather...strange. None of the others at the hospital were dressed like him..He was tailored, not scrubs.

So then I told him I hadn't noticed him before, did he work in that area? "No"...he said.."I work at the other end". The other end of the hospital had about 6 rooms and was just a short walking distance from Mom's room.

We enquired about him, but NO ONE knew him, He did not work there, ever. It took us months to realize that the "other end" meant heaven..Believe it or not... he was Mom's Angel.

The story about your mothers angel made me remember a story my mother in law told me years ago. Her son, my husband, was struck by a car when he was 6 & was in a coma for 3 weeks. Everyone expected that he would never wake up. One day at the hospital she was sitting by his bed when a little old woman came into the room. She held his hand & carressed his face & told my mother in law not to worry that he would wake up soon & he would be fine. Soon he *did* wake up & she went to look for the little old woman to tell her she was right. No one in the hospital had seen her ( hospitals were smaller & quieter then). She was not a patient & none of the patients or nurses had seen anyone who fit her description.

I have a similar account about my grandmother. I did not see this first hand, it was told to me and my father right after she died by a nurse at the nursing home. The nurse felt that she had to tell us about it.

My dad and I were emptying my grandmother's room after she died. A nurse came in and said she wanted to tell us something. She said that she didn't know what our beliefs were, but felt she had to say something. The night my grandmother died, my brother visited her between 9:00 & 9:30 PM or so. He left and went home. At about 10:00 PM or so, the nurse got several buzzes from other residents, she went to see what they wanted and they told here that they wanted to see Jesus too. He had just walked down the hall from my grandmother's room according to the residents. The nurse looked in on my grandmother and she had just passed away.

Talk about giving me chills! It also helped lessen the sadness of my grandmothers death.
