The head librarian had asked the county attorney's office whether the poster might be a violation of the constitutional amendment prohibiting the government from promoting religion.

Maybe someone should suggest she look up the Constitution and figure out which amendment that might be.

What religion would that be promoting? The alternative is what? Satanism?

The First Amendment dictates that CONGRESS not pass any law establishing a national religion. How does the placement of a poster with the words "In God We Trust," the same words on our money and above the U.S. Supreme Courtroom, establish a particular religion, especially since the person doing it has nothing to do with Congress?

"...Maybe someone should suggest she look up the Constitution and figure out which amendment that might be..."

You need to refer to the old Soviet quasi-constitution if you want to find it expressed in so many words.

Liberals are referring, of course, to their out of context, tortured reading of Jefferson’s remarks regarding the separate domains of church and state when they misinterpret the First Amendment.

Funny how they never take Jefferson’s much less ambiguous remarks regarding "Freemen never being debarred the use of arms..." when they pontificate on the Second Amendment.

Filthy communist bastards.

Liberals are lying traitors who are richly deserving of the hangman’s tender attentions. I hope to live long enough to see trainloads of them sentenced to stand that shock before I move on to what comes next.

It's in the "emanations of the penumbra" as is the RvW decision.
"Emanations of the penumbra" certainly sounds like the Supremes were into the drug culture at the time and were hallucinating.

Meanwhile, written words like "right of the people" and "shall not be infringed" somehow are not clear to them.

I'm guessing it would be allright with you if they had posters up saying "Praise Satan!","Allah is Great!",or "Communism is the ideal system!"? After all, they wouldn't be "promoting" these ideas, would they?
