Help to Suspects in Ala. Shooting Probed

As a Montgomery native I have commented several times about possible getaway scenarios and have described the area. This article is the best in helping people get the feel of how the area was laid out. It also answers a lot of questions as to how these guys got away.

First off let me lay out the area this article describes. The ABC store is on Zelda Rd. If you are facing the ABC store, to the right is an open lot disected by a drainage ditch. Across the street is a Taco Bell, and behind the Taco Bell is a tree line and then a fence. Across the fence is I-85. The Drainage ditch runs under Zelda rd (big enough to walk through) and then emptys out under the fence to I-85.

This article points out Muhammed ran across the street and behind the TAco Bell, Malvo ran into the drainage ditch.

Some reports have said the Blue Car was in the Drive through lane. This says it came from behind the Taco Bell - the Drive through is on that side (thus the confusion that he may have been in line), but there is also parking back there by the tree line.

What now makes sense is either they had a driver (the blue car) or they left there car parked on the side of I-85. either scenario is possible.

It is apparent that Malvo jumped into the drainage ditch (Witnedd) and probably ran under Zelda, then under the fence and down the embackment. Once Muhammed ran behind the Taco Bell he had only one route, into the trees(cop says he did this) then either over or under the fence, and thus down to I-85.

The exit ramp is only about 1-2 blocks from the Taco Bell. So the Blue car could have easily headed down to the ramp, onto I-85 and picked up the waiting Malvo and Muhammed. Or the to perps could have easily jumped into their parked vehicle, out into traffic and gone.

It looks like Osbourne could have worked with the DC perps as a lookout and to run interference to allow them to get away.

I hope they have this Alabama LEO take a look at Osbourne to see if he matches who was driving that blue car. Also see if the car that cut his chase off matches the one that the DC perps were arrested in.

Indeed, I hope they are checking him out very thoroughly. The FBI needs to investigate all of the perps' associations - there are too many indications that this could be a culture of terrorism.
