CNN's "American Morning With Paula Zahn" sharply narrowed the audience lead held by "Fox & Friends." The gap with the Fox News morning show diminished to about 6 percent in October, down from 28 percent in September.

If they keep talking about Winona Ryder's boobs like they were this morning, they should have plenty of viewers.

This problem is easily fixable...get rid of ED and bring in Laurie Dhue. Problem solved.ED sucks.

Actually, Edie and company have a better grasp on foreign affairs and events than their competitors. I am presently surprised that Steve and Brian are well aquainted with current events and evidence very up to date political intelligence. I am impressed despite a lack of gravitas but like the easy going nature of all three even though this is lite fare in journalism.
Again, these 3 people of FAF are taking the time to learn whereas characters like Bill Hemmer and Paula seem as though they sometimes have second jobs moonlighting, maybe for the DNC.

ED sucks.Since ED is five months pregnant, I could make a number of off-color comments right about now.

I use to watch Katie - but thankfully found other shows. Imus is just too dead. I like F & F because they are sort of goofy and I actually find myself laughing. Most morning I need a good laugh and a little joviality. Imus is too somber and too patronizing to the elite media.

hahaha... I was just saying today ED needs to stop dressing like she's married... every time you see her anymore she's in some frumpy long sleeved turtleneck and slacks or a pants suit. Didn't take her long to ditch the skirts and things once she got the I Do.

As much as I have tried to support Fox News in the morning, I just can't watch ED and the guys. I won't watch Zahn but I tune into CNBC for a pretty good program.
Someone mentioned Laurie Dhue replacing ED. I'd be OK with that but your're going to have to replace the two dudes too. They are nattering nincompoops imo.

She's pregnant for Pete's sake. Not many stylish maternity outfits.

Posts like yours cry out for pictures.

Yes, "Fox and Friends" has a lot of silliness in it, but that's what I like about it!! Where else can you find a morning news show in which ALL THREE hosts are conservative? LOL, I'd think most Freepers would be grateful to have ANY news show like that. I know I am!!
I agree about the reason for the ratings change: the sniper coverage was pretty much the same for CNN and Fox.

Your best bet is do not waste time watching any of the morning shows.Agreed. Best to watch your cheese eating sister being bitten by a moose while taking a shower ;-)

I can't stand to watch that bird-brained ED. I flip between Imus and CNBC.
To: CholeraJoe
Isn't she on her 3rd or 4th husband and 7th kid?
To: RooRoobird14
I agree! And I don't even particularly care about the personal politics of the three of them (although they do provide a much needed conservative breath of fresh air), what I find most refreshing is the fact that they act like REAL PEOPLE. They say stupid things, they laugh at stupid things, but they speak to each other in a genuine fashion that is, well, NORMAL. Completely opposite from the plastic smiles and faces and personas and jokes of CNN et al.

I won't watch Zahn but I tune into CNBC for a pretty good program. Is that the show with the red-headed gay guy with glasses and the dark haired big guy that talks like he's mumbling?

"Is that the show with the red-headed gay guy with glasses and the dark haired big guy that talks like he's mumbling?"No, you are thinking of MSNBC. CNBC is all business with Mark Hainey and Joe Kernan and they've got good News reporting throughout the morning.

I don't see them covering the Carr trial, either. It isn't like there's no news out there but the sniper story. If they can't see beyond the northeast, I'll stop watching.
