Democrat upper house MP Arthur Chesterfield-Evans said every two days as many people died from smoking-related illness as were missing or killed in the bombings in Bali.
Where DO they get these numbers?!!!!

How many people here smoke only in a bar? Get a little loose and want a cigarette? Not to mention those who exist on them (bad english, incomplete sentence but I don't care).

Is it just me? Or does banning smoking in bars seem as out of place as banning fornicating in cathouses?

Not to mention those who exist on them (bad english, incomplete sentence but I don't care). I don't "exist" on them, but I do love my coffee and cigarettes!

The simple fact that we are actually seeing smokeless bars is hard to believe and demonstrates how real the problem is. Very good find. A definite read for all smokers.

Very good find. A definite read for all smokers. A buddy found it for me. I owe my thanks to him! :)
And your right. This is really good reading. I just wish it would end and the anti's would dry up and blow away.

Thanks!! I was beginning to think nobody got it! :-)

The only time I smoke is in a bar. These assholes are going to destroy ANOTHER industry. Pub/tavern owners will go out of business, which will have a tremendous affect on the beverage industry. Why can't people just shut the F-up, stay home with their bottled water, and mind their own business?

Here in CA they are all smoke free bars. I guess the trend is moving across the country.
Granted I love breathing clean air in restraunts and all, but I don't understand why there can't be also accomodation for smokers in some way.
