Just as amazing is that the Johnson County Sun has come out for Shallenberger. Steve Rose, the Editor, and historicially moderate, indicated it is Shallenberger's commitment to the Schools.

Although Mr. Rose's house has been broken into on occasion and he has considered what it would be like to confront someone and not be armed. He considered it intellegently , bought a handgun, and reported it in his paper. Make someone think twice about the next breakin. Hopefully an unspoken reason for his support for Shallenberger is that he does not want to lose the right to defend himself as well.

Well there goes my usual voting procedure. . .Take all Wichita Eagle endorsements and vote the opposite. Wonders never cease, it seems. The Eagle also endorsed Todd Tiahrt (R) (my favorite) for Representative. What's happening???

YES! Isn't this absolutely incredible:^) God is at work! I can't wait until election night when the returns start coming in and Shallenburger beats Sebelius! It will be just like primary night when he finished so far ahead of Knight! If I hear one more of her despicable, whiny attack ad commercials, I think I'll go berserk!

Look at it this way -- the Miami Herald (Miami-Dade), and the Fort Lauderdale paper (Broward County) endorsed Jeb Bush over McBride.

After that happened, I am not shocked at any endorsement now!

It is odd though that normally liberal papers are endorsing candidates that we support. Maybe the RAT candidates are just really bad!

We're BIG U.S. Rep. Todd Tiahrt supporters, also...work in his campaign office weekly, help with mailings, lit drops, parades, sign waves, etc. He's a very humble, upright man with a wonderful family! He truly does "the right thing" in Washington! True integrity!

No kidding. He's the only one that could have done this. I would have bet money (and I'm not the betting type) that these papers would have endorsed K.S.

Now just pray it's enough to put him over the top!

I am tied up with a similar situation to RAT's, but it is unfortunately my wife's health. I am headed back to the hospital right now but will try to stay somewhat informed.

GOOD For YOU! Todd is a good guy. I worked with him years ago at the old "Bomber" plant (Boeing). Have done some campaigning for him but not recently. The race seems to be closer this time. In my "Liberal" county (Cowley), they have a hard time giving him a break on anything.

We need him back in Washington! ! !
