They were doing their best to get them out afterwards, and I think the casualty count is minimal considering what it could have been. I'm sure locating and deactivating the explosives was high priority too.

Don't get me wrong, I think they did a great job under the given circumstances. It could have easily gone the other direction.

Amazing the things the Russians can do with a little opium.

(Not to mention the fruits of their terrorist internationale ... how dramatic was this latest bid to be on "Our Side" in the War Against Terror.)

What a win:win:win ... scooping up accolades from the Israelis for their "winning" experimentation with the gas, cementing our partnership in the War Against Terror and bringing the Chechens to the table to boot.

Probably about time to swing Mozdok's sights to the south anyway.
