Wow, thanks, Billie! I needed that! I have so many enemies on FR. Sadly, it's always the same pattern. We start out friends, we run into an issue on which we disagree, they get personal and decide they want me to shut up and go away.

I wonder how many people this happens to when they have, over the years, taken a different position (outside the majority FR view) on Elian, the crash in Queens, the WOD, third parties, you name the issue. The weird part is that most of the people who seem to intensely dislike me would find agreement with me on the vast majority of issues. It seems to be all or nothing for them.

Best example I can give is a gal on the recent death of actor Harris. She is clearly a big movie buff and I wanted to ask her about something, her opinion, etc. on that thread. But I can't because she disagreed with me over something (whatever that was) once. At that time she got personal and wanted me to shut up and leave, where we once had fun dialog.

It's sad, but apparently has to be that way for some around here. Oh well, can't control the choices of others. I just think it diminishes FR - in it's texture and probably in the quality of activism.

I like you too....despite what they say about you....JUST KIDDING! (Everyone loves Billie!)

Life has a way of accelerating as we get older.

That whole passage was just so beautiful, lodwick. We need to take heed "before it's too late."

**I just love your screenname!**

Thanks, Pippin. I guess it is the fact that I have experienced a little piece of that salvation in the Lord helping me to journey through my life as well as I could.

Sometimes those prayers I spoke about to Free the Hostages were spoken by me in intervals of minutes throughout a day. One of those I used most often was the simple AA standard:

Serenity Prayer
God, help me to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.
Amen.

SEA ISLAND ~ This lush resort and residential paradise offers a taste of the very best of the resorting life centered around the world famous Cloister Hotel. Guests enjoy everything from exquisite dining to private club facilities, including The Beach Club & Spa overlooking the glistening Atlantic. The resort also offers skeet, horseback riding, fishing and sightseeing charters, as well as outstanding golf and tennis. Shopping is exceptional on Sea Island and at The Shops at Sea Island on St. Simons Island just off the Sea Island Causeway.

BRUNSWICK ~ From her earliest beginnings as a colonial outpost, Brunswick's steady growth following the American Revolution continued through the Resort Era that flourished one hundred years ago. Today, the revitalization of Historic Downtown Brunswick is symbolic of this port city's emergence as a thriving town.

Be back after lunch, d'sangel.

Was just wondering if FR is sluggish and timing out for others, or just on my end? It was really bad last week and hoped this week would be better. It's not, for me. : (

Who was one of the first featured freepers from Glynn County, GA? I'm drawing a blank here; but it was a male type freeper - maybe Backhoe?

And it appears you are special too! (From St. Louie1's FR webpage:

'Tears'
If tears could build a stairway
and memories were a lane
I would walk right up to heaven
to bring you home again
No farewell words were spoken
no time to say goodbye
you were gone before I knew it
and only God knows why
My heart still aches in sadness
and secret tears still flow
what it meant to lose you
no one will ever know
