This looks pretty good...I do a full body routine and when I have to take long road trips I hate losing tons of progress on my back and biceps due to the fact that I stay in cheap motels without weightlifting equipment. The back exercises are especially nice. I'm going to take a printout of this with me when I drive from Washington, DC to Washington state this summer.

Bookmarked. His intro strikes home. The Lovely Wife and I DO get up at 0450 every morning to hit the Y and pump some serious iron..........five days a week. I admit it gets hard; the fatigue, etc., etc. We have been doing this since January, and it admittedly is very, very difficult some days (ok, it's ALWAYS difficult). We're in our mid 40's, but I am in better shape than when I was 21 (and I was in good shape in my youth.:) ).

Such a killer schedule may not be realistic for the very long term, however, so this is of interest. Thanks for posting.

GREAT article! I've been interested in isometrics for a long time, but there is not that much information out there about this technique. Thanks!

Just some workout humor for ya! Pump you up, yah!

Not too sure about some of this stuff...but I guess it is better than nothing at all. Check out this site:

I have been doing that early am schedule for 20 years. Yep, it's painful at times, and 04:30 comes real, real early, but after lifting and doing cardio for a long time, at 41 I am very happy with my physique. Keep it up!!

Twenty years??? Wow.........you ARE dedicated.:) Hasn't even been a year yet for us. We HAVE noticed significant differences and improvements........but I readily admit that at my age (just turned 47 today) it does get hard to get up that early and sling heavy iron some days. :)

Ok. This is me at age 48 and my son with whom I am well pleased at Woodstock in 1997. He's since lost the long hair, but he's still freaky. I look pretty much the same now with the exception of my waist which I am still trying to recover. Hey! I never said I was Mr. O.

Hello...

I mostly lurk these days and, for the most part, just read the articles. But I'll probably come alive again as the presidential election draws near.

How're things down in Chile?
