Can the S.F. Giants keep their children in the dugout, please?

Never mind win or lose, can the Giants at least hire baby sitters so J.T. Snow can play the game without having to scoop up Dusty Baker's little boy from the middle of the action (like in Game #5)?
ALSO: Could someone please find some kind of link to the DC Sniper case that we can frame that stupid FOX "October Magic" Witch Doctor to and get him off the air earlier than November 1st?

Right now the children have the rally monkey locked in its cage. I hope he escapes soon, or the Angels won't be in the outfield again this season.

Pete Rose is a crook, and Gray was a journalist doing his job.

I don't think Rose is a crook and should be in the hall of fame. Enough of his bats, balls, and gloves are already there waiting for him, He got screwed. His only crime was to trust the commissioner of baseball keep a promise. Take the deal or be banned for life. Then banning him anyways. What a schmuck.

Willie Mays was the "Say Hey Kid." Darren Baker is the "Get Outta The Way Kid."

I am amazed to see that kid on the field. I never ever thought I'd ever see something like that.

Sorry, but that was one of the most amazing and delightful baseball moments I've ever seen. It will be really cute if he gets cleated, beaned, run over by a 245 pounder, causes a team to lose due to interference with a play! In no other occupation would children be allowed "on the floor".

He's adorable! It gave this dull game a little personality! J. T. Snow was NOT smiling as he roughly grabbed the little kid from harm.

Had this been Pete Rose instead of J. T. Snow....then the kid would have been run over. Pete would have been absorbed by the base running and never even noticed the kid. Snow looked at the big picture....and simply took action...something that a lot of professional ballplayers are incapable of doing.
This is simply another reason professional baseball needs to clean out the dugout during the world series and only allow players and management there. Too many folks sitting there with no purpose.

J. T. Snow was NOT smiling as he roughly grabbed the little kid from harm. You think he wasn't smiling then?.......
I'd love to see the scowl on his face after his team blew a 5 run lead going into the 7th inning of tonight's game, thereby not winning the WS and forcing a final and deciding game 7.

Agree one hundred percent. What the hell is a three year doing as a 'bat boy'? This makes a mockery of the game - even in my adult league softball the parents know to keep their toddlers off the field. Now we have this in the World Series???
Great game last night - thought the Giants had it locked up but the RM came through once more. Sigh. Baseball season over tonight no matter what happens.....
Long suffering Angels (and Orioles) fan.

>Glavine was horrible in the NLDS against the Giants.
You can say that again. I went to the first game of that series. Cox should have yanked Glavine in the second inning.

Thanks for your reminder of a great moment in sports reporting history. It was, indeed, a beautiful thing.

All of you need to read some baseball history for perspective. Was Bill Veeck sending a midget to pinch-hit (he walked, of course and was then banned from baseball) classy? Were the 1919 Chicago Black Sox classy? Albert Belle? Fans pouring beer on the head of outfielder Al Smith? The Cleveland Indians 5 cent beer riot? The treatment of Jackie Robinson when he first appeard for the Dodgers? Cap Anson, the incredible racist of the White Sox? Read "Ball Four" or "The New Bill James Historical Baseball Abstract (Revised)" for numerous stupid and classless acts over the years. I don't mean to 'dis baseball; in fact, I love it! But this stuff is hardly new and, in the general scheme of things, really trivial.
I admit that I was stunned to see a 3-year old as a bat boy. But remember when Ted Turner fired the Braves manager, appointed himself as manager and suited up for the game? The NL commissioner nixed it after one game, fortunately, but these type of self-indulgent behaviors have been occuring since the beginning of baseball.

Does anyone have a link to a video of this up on the net?
My niece would like to it in real time.

Eddie, you can view it
here in Real Player format......It's the 2nd link on the righ hand side entitled

Gray was even more obnoxious than usual when he interviewed Pete Rose during Game 2 of the '99 Series. After Curtis hit the game-winning homer in Game 3, Gray tried to interview him. Curtis said that the Yankees had decided as a team not to talk to Gray because of the way treated Rose, then he turned around and walked away, with Gray lamely calling after him. It was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. I enjoyed that too, with a small exception. Curtis claimed to speak for the team based on some meeting and it was not true. Yanks rode his ass out on a rail for that among other issues.

You may prefer the last link in that table........it's the FOX broadcast without a Snow voiceover as is in the one I referenced in my prior post.

Thanks...I knew I could count on FR's internet video whiz.
