A couple of thoughts, besides the obvious heinousness of these disgusting and absolutely tasteless accusations:
In any aircraft accident, it is standard procedure for the manufacturer of the accident aircraft to include their systems and airframe representatives on the investigation team. THe NTSB expects it. Sheesh. These people turn my stomach.
Have at it, fellow FReepers. It didn't take long, did it? Looking at the early threads that covered the crash, I saw lots of prayers sent for the victims, and a lot of human decency. As it should be. I, too, disagreed with everything he stoof got, but was not for a MOMENT pleased in any way that he, his wife and daughter, and the other five people lost their lives in such a horrible way. I understand that Wellstone was a white-knuckle flier, and I pray that God's grace kept them from fear.

My thoughts also.

I guess we can officially say that truth has taken a back seat to speculation, conspiracy theories and lack of any sense of external reality.

By Jackson Thoreau "My first hunch about Sen. Wellstone's tragic plane crash less than two weeks before this pivotal election is that the plane was tampered with by right-wingers, .>>>>>>>
funny, mine was first we saw Carnahan in a close election in 2000 and his plane then crashed,
now we see Welstone in a close election and his plane crashes,
since the death of the canidate doesn't ever seem to help the challenger but the party that loses it's canidate. well........

It is more probable that his own cronies did him in considering how poorly he was running for an incumbent. Perhaps we now know why Torreceli bowed out.

Remember Senator Inhofe, who was involved in the impeachment of Clinton? He is an expert airman and was flying along when the
propeller came off his plane and flew away, leaving him with a heavy glider.
By dint of excellent flying and cool-headedness, he made an emergency landing and walked away.
I saw an interview with an aircraft mechanic who had worked on similar planes for 30 years. "How often does this happen?" he was asked.
"Mister, in 30 years I can recall maybe one other incident."
The prop is held on by multiple bolts, which are "safety wired" to prevent vibration from causing them to unscrew.
Funny, eh? Strange. Unaccountable. Sabotage is--naturally-- out of the question, right?

Amazing isn't it? As if we would want this man and his family to die! I think as usual, the left is reflecting their values on us. They are the ones who hate so much that wishing death to Pubbies is something they most likely do often, in fact, I know some of them do.
Did we disagree with Paul Wellstone's politics? Absolutely! Would we, or President Bush wish him dead, or actually murder him? Of course not. We are the side that honors life, unlike the left who care nothing about throwing away life that doesn't fit their agenda.

Everyone is beatifying Paul Welstone ("A great guy", "Everyone's friend") while meanwhile he was the closest thing to a Communist this nation has ever had in the Senate. His views were digraceful and dangerous.
Walter Mondale is an un-American, piece of sh*t who helped Carter try and get the Soviets to manipulate the 1980 and 1984 elections, who fought to castrate America with a nuclear freeze, who is the only Presidential candidate in history to actually say in a speech that we would raise taxes. He must be defeated at all costs.
The Democrats must be DESTROYED. NO REPEAT OF ASHCROST 2000! Coleman must go after Mondale with guns blazing and defeat the son of a bitch.
