This one pretty much guarantees a Dem sympathy vote in Minnesota, too. But to accuse like this - the funeral hasn't even been held, for crying out loud. Have theyno decency?
It's a rhetorical question. The answer is obvious.

This is so hard to keep straight. The NY Times and Washington Post, which I know are scrupulously unbiased and never wrong, keep telling me that we are the narrow-minded, hateful, paranoid ones, but when I read something like this it almost makes me question their objectivity.

They have no shame. None!
This will increase the sympathy factor and drive more Dims to the polls.
I heard a man on FNC just say, "Now it would take a MIRACLE for the Republicans to take back the Senate."
Every time we get a close race, their side dies and our side has to step aside - out of respect.

My first hunch about Sen. Wellstone's tragic plane crash less than two weeks before this pivotal election is that the plane was tampered with by right-wingers, possibly the CIA.
Oh, yeah. Because Tenat's Baghdad-is-no-threat CIA is
so right-wing.

If the replacement candidate wins in MN, the GOP hopes to take back the Senate vanish. THere is not even a slim chance we could win if we lose MN.

If anyone missed Sothhack Sages post, go back and read it.
Profound observation and simple comeback to The Dark Sides accusations.

"I agree. Can someone show any info regarding the latest Wellstone numbers in the race? I ain't much on conspiracy stuff but this is just too fishy." It doesn't have to necessarily even be due to some conspiracy. For instance, it might be just bad campaign advice (e.g. "travel everywhere and fast") once they get behind.
But whatever the reason, it is statisticly odd that Democratic Party Senatorial candidates who fall behind in the polls seem to have much shorter life spans.

I heard that too. I am mystified by such an extreme pessimism. There is 10 days to get everything up and running.......and they probably will not get a candidate until the funeral either, which leaves basically 7 days or so. We may lose this one, but we still have a shot.

Well, perhaps the good people of Minnesota will take the lesson of Missouri to heart - and what it did to the Senate balance - and vote the way they were going to vote in the first place. (Fool me twice...)

"Oh, yeah. Because Tenat's Baghdad-is-no-threat CIA is so right-wing." To clarify, let's make that: "Because Clinton-Appointed, Registered Democrat Tenent's CIA is so right wing < /SARCASM >"...

Saw the NTSB lady on Fox about half hour ago giving a witness description: "Fellow is used to planes flying over but this one sounded different, looked outside, saw plane crabbing over, came back in house, few seconds later felt a jolt, heard what sounded like a SHOT, realizes now it was the plane crashing."
I'm thinking "man he could have decribed the impact with a better word than a "SHOT!"

The dems will come out of the closet on this one.
Not only Wellstone but his wife also perished.
Too bad Teddy K. didn't go for the ride. Maybe his bloated carcass could have saved them from impact.
This won't be a Carnahan replay. They have 7 days to convince Mondale to re-invent himself!
HA! 2002 is looking brighter all the time... excuse me, my sunglasses need a good cleaning.

See, it all started with another funeral that somehow the Republicans were responsible. In cahoots with the funeral home for scheduling purposes and meteorologists who had the long-range forecast for Minnesota all planned out for a convenient excuse of "weather-related problems", it was all an elaborate plan from the beginning. So when Raytheon Aircraft intentionally sabotaged the plane, complete with a suicidal religious nut for a pilot, and an un-unionized mechanic, it was easy pickings, and this time no widow to keep his seat.
VAST RIGHT WING CONSPIRACY, INDEED!

These people make my head hurt. (And it's not the flu that I seemed to have picked up. Bad timing, there. I have too much to do!)

Are these morons any worse than the bottom dwellers on the Right going on about Ron Brown?
