While Democrat Erskine Bowles believes he is gaining ground in the U.S. Senate race, Elizabeth Dole is calling on President George Bush to help rally her troops.
Bush returned to North Carolina Thursday to support Republicans. Dole is tying her Senate bid to the president, who has backed her campaign from the beginning.

He could have had the little ex. too-Jimmie Carter, Nobel prize weiner and Carpenter apprentist. Instead he chose Ann Richards, who was born with a moldy manure shovel in her mouth. Now that's a new wrinkle, but it's lost somewhere among her one trillion old wrinkles.
