Reading this just fills my heart with gladness since I left New York for good about 5 months ago.
Breslin is typical of the New York liberal mindset--utterly incapable of intellectual honesty and shocked that anyone would challenge them on it.

This dip sh*t better get a CAT scan...Quick!
He's definitely in the advanced stages.

BRESLIN: You're not intellectually suited to have a conversation with meTrue. It wouldn't be a fair fight. Mazlberg is smart and analytical. Breslin is a dogmatic, moronic, left-wing hack. He can only demagogue an issue; he can't explain or debate it. Typical New York leftie.

Breslin's right - the host isn't intellectually suited to have a conversation with him. For that the host would need a lobotomy and a fifth of Old Overcoat.

BRESLIN: You're not intellectually suited to have a conversation with me. I'm sorry. Goodbye. There was a column a few days ago called The Dowd Rule that explained this tactic to a T:
Dowd, Franken, and Moore, taken together, represent the evolutionary spectrum of a new species of elitists. Elitism, to be sure, is as old as human society. But never in recorded history has a less cerebrally, morally, or spiritually elite Elite looked down their noses at the majority of their countrymen. The minimum requirement for membership in the intelligentsia used to be, well, intelligence. This is no longer the case. Rather, what is now required is the mere sense of your own superiority, the smirky confidence that flows from an undergraduate grasp of history, philosophy, and literature, and which can only be sustained by a maniacal deafness to counterarguments. Listening to your political opponents is deadly under such circumstances; they must therefore be dismissed, a priori, as stupid.

Just another Democrat who almost had his foundational assumptions challenged. He didn't want the cobwebs in his head disturbed and flipped out. A dime a dozen.

During the 1991 Crown Heights pogrom, when DEMOCRATIC Mayor David Dinkins told his cops to stand by, and DEMOCRATIC Governor Mario Cuomo not only refused to send out the Guard, but was caught on tape telling a Newsday reporter of Dinkins' deliberate aloof attitude, Breslin was himself yanked out of a Brooklyn cab and attacked by a gang of CoreDemocrats(tm) because he is white. Or so he said at the time.

Actually - I heard that radio show yesterday in the car, while waiting for my son to finish up with his music lesson.
I couldn't believe that Breslin. The thing is - I saw him with Aaron Brown on CNN the night before (I know, I know - why on EARTH was I watching that program--beats me - just flipping through the channels, I guess) - anyway - I thought Breslin was a jerk on Aaron Brown's show, too.
Unbelievable!!

Typical liberal. He can't argue the facts so he takes his "superiority" somewhere else because its clear that he is intellectually lazy and can't stand to have his idiotic ideas challenged. This kind of mindset is rampant through college campuses and liberal circles.

More likely he tripped on his way out of the bar. When people tried to help him up, he thought he was being mugged.

"He and his people hate New York," Breslin contended in the column, complaining that the administration "blew the attack" on the World Trade Center because "any threats to New York weren't of such vital interest."
And I suppose "Bush and his people" hate Washington, D.C., too, and that they "blew the attack" on the Pentagon because "any threats to D.C. weren't of such vital interest."
Breslin is just another wet-brain has-been.

Breslin is a drunken fool who often writes fiction as fact.
Now he's apparently a senile drunken fool.
To: Tumbleweed_Connection
Shut up, he explained.

Breslin thinks it's 1962 and he's still waiting for JFK to get on a white horse and ride down Boradway.

Just another Democrat who almost had his foundational assumptions challenged.I call it "cognitosclerosis," hardening of the thought processes. They get certain ideas into their heads and quite literally can't re-examine them.

Uh-Oh! Breslin is back on the sauce again. BTW, wasn't there some scandal a few years back about Breslin cheating in the NY Marathon? If so, please refresh me on that.
