-- A police decision to hand over two undocumented migrants to immigration authorities this week is silencing potential witnesses in the serial sniper investigation, area Latino leaders said Wednesday.

"It's a really bad message to send the Latino community and immigrants in general," said Gustavo Torres, director of a suburban Montgomery County social service agency, CASA of Maryland. "I am not going to encourage my community to [report] those criminals, [if] witnesses are going to be deported."

Senor Gustavo Torres is a day late and a dollar short with his threat. The 2 bad guys were caught without the help of any illegals.

One cannot post complete articles from the LA Times AKA LA Slimes or the Washington Post AKA Washington Compost owing to legal restrictions. It's a long and sordid tale.

Of course not, criminals don't snitch on other criminals Too late anyhow bud, Islamic terrorist and an illegal alien are already in custody.

Where's the Barf Alert on this one?

I would like these illegal sympathizers to put out statistics on how many crimes are committed by illegals vs. how many crimes are solved by tips from illegals vs. how many crimes committed by illegals are solved without tips from illegals.

This is another straw-may arguement like "they do work that nobody else will do", and "our lettuce would be $5 per head if illegals didn't pick it."

I'll pay the 5 bucks a head if you guarantee that I won't have an illegal Mexican waitress serving me at dinner.

Don't allow yourself to be placed on the menu.

Don't you love the way they try to hold us hostage? "Let us get away with breaking the immigration laws, or else we won't tip off police on other crimes!"

This is an indictment of the INS in and of itself. If the only -- or many -- material witnesses are illegal aliens -- and authorities have to NOT turn them over to INS if they come forward -- what does that say about what's going on in our country?

Sounds like blackmail. We'll help you if you let us stay. We won't if you threaten to send us back. We need to be deporting these illegals NOW. There are many, many immigrants who worked hard to come here legally. What an insult.

Yeah, illegals are real scairt...that's why our schools are flooded with their kids, the emergency rooms are filled with them in general. They even conduct loud protests in public because they want drivers licenses for illegals and Doofus Davis wouldn't grant them (for now). Real scared.
