I was so please to see Chief Moose respond to the jerky reporter. Maybe Sec. Rumsfeld should come down to the Chief's office and give the newshounds a dose of education.
Anyone else feel the reporters should be sent to Civility-101?
I hope Chief Moose has a good night's sleep. I wish him well. A concerned citizen.

He is polite, and I think in the long run, it will work out well for all concerned.
Now if he acted in a nasty and rude manner, it could really piss off this guy. He's just calm and collected and polite. I wouldn't look at this as a sign of weakness. We don't need any Dirty Harrys. I think he has "grace under pressure."
We'll see what we will see.

If you wish me a good night's sleep, you will have been constructive and all will be forgiven.

I gave Chief Moose the benefit of the doubt for about the first nine killings. Now, I have come to the conclusion that he is in way over his head. They had an hour devoted to this on a local talk show in Albuquerque today. Most people that I heard agree with me. It was pointed out by the host that the sniper was hung up on six times when he called in. He even took down the names of the people he was talking to. If this really happened, it is inexcusable, and if I were the bus driver's wife I would sue hell out of the bastards. The sniper is reported to have said that those hang-ups are going to cost you five more lives. I heard today the fellow from WorldNetDaily who said that Chief Moose was hired for one thing and one thing only--to eliminate racial profiling. Supposedly he had successfully eliminated in Portland. He went on to say that they have a description of the killer--either a Mexican or a Middle Easterner, but that Moose won't put it out because he doesn't want to racially-profile. I think there are times when racial profiling are completely OK--and this is one of them.

And another thing. I think this whole thing needs to be taken over by the FBI. The crimes have been committed across state lines. It is completely justified.

D'accord. (I agree.)

Moose is a clueless boob and may have contributed to the last few deaths by telling the public about the police tactics beforehand.
