Is that confirmed? The owner of the duplex is ex-military, perhaps he rented out the other have to the soldier?
If he shot into a tree it had to be a .22 as its a residential area that would generate some calls.
Police are now wrapping up the grid lines. Search over?

I'm not insulting the military; I'm questioning if a military individual might be involved in this.

FOXNEWS is now confirming that a former Ft. Lewis soldier lived in one of the duplexes, behind which the search for shell casings is taking place.

Also, Ft. Lewis brass have been asked to cooperate with the FBI, and they say they will.

There are nut cases in every walk of life. Why would it surprise you if there are a few in the military?

WHY do I see a "unknown" sniper laughing his ass off in some livingrom back in Maryland....I see a ANOTHER red herring except now it is nation wide! YIKES !!!!

Just a guess, of course, but I think that he's in custody already and that now they're tracing his past residences to find shell casings that match the rifle at as many of those places as possible in order to have as much solid evidence against him as possible.

His ethnicity is just a rumor; probably from some neighbor or from the landlord about a guy who lived here but who may ultimately not be connected to the shootings. I wouldn't put too much stock in anything that comes out on the news tonight.
