Sniper Search near Seattle (digging for evidence)

MSNBC reporting sniper related digging and searching of a building in Tacoma WA. FBI is involved. May be related to something the sniper told police

As is my hunch. So, take it for what it's worth, which is nothing. There'd be some credit-taking by al-Qaeda by now, if it were an al-Qaeda operation.

While it is likely this guy is a domestic nut since so far there's only been one gun involved...al Qaeda as a rule doesn't take credit for what they do- they're known for NOT taking credit. They have on occasion gotten bold enough to invent a nonexistant group and call in the name of the fake group, as they did with the US embassy bombings, but often they don't take credit at all, and certainly wouldn't take credit for anything BEFORE they're done.

If it is foreign I wouldn't say it was al Qaeda but more likely, some palestinian group, since they are known more for sniper-style shootings and small stuff.

Now Fox says a local RUMOR is that he's a native-American/hispanic guy.

Just to clarify. I think when they say "Native American" they mean American born and not necessarily what we would call Indian.

He also said that US snipers in Vietnam put tarot cards on their victims. That's crap. Occasionally a grunt would put an ace of spades on a dead VC or NVA, but professional snipers don't walk up to their victim's body and put a card on it.

It may be that they'll say anything about any nationality that is darker skinned but NOT Arab/ME. Indians, Native Americans, Pacific Islanders, etc
