Men Hold Moscow Audience Hostage [Reports of 1000 Hostages]

MOSCOW (AP) — Armed men entered a Moscow theater Wednesday and took the audience hostage, the Federal Security Service said.

The theater was holding a performance of the musical Nord-Ost, one of the Russian capital's most popular productions.

The Interfax news agency said one of its reporters was inside the theater at the time of the raid. She told them in a telephone call that the men had fired into the air and were preventing the audience from leaving, the agency said.

Police units were on their way to the scene.

Hey guys, lay off Chief Moose. No, he's not eloquent, but this is the same criticism leveled at GW by the elite intellectuals of the left. Bill Clinton is eloquent but he is despicable. Yes we are. And I appreciate your other points. No one wants to live in such a stifling, oppressive world. It would certainly be best if peace-loving, civilized Muslims took control of the situation among their peers. But they are probably afraid to confront the radical element among them. Until then, IMO the necessary response is an armed populace. Put self defense into the hands of the populace, with orders to shoot to kill. Just keep killing them until they stand down.

My take on the Russian stance is a little different. The Russians begged us to help them fight the Muslims in Chechnya and were perplexed bythe US defense of the Muslims in Kosovo. They warned that the Muslims were not our friends and asked why Clinton was supporting them, against the Christians.

Then we have the nerve to ask the Russians to help in our fight against Muslim terrorists in Afghanistan and Iraq. The Russians have been fighting the Muslims for alot longer than we have.
