Men Hold Moscow Audience Hostage [Reports of 1000 Hostages]

MOSCOW (AP) — Armed men entered a Moscow theater Wednesday and took the audience hostage, the Federal Security Service said.
The theater was holding a performance of the musical Nord-Ost, one of the Russian capital's most popular productions.
The Interfax news agency said one of its reporters was inside the theater at the time of the raid. She told them in a telephone call that the men had fired into the air and were preventing the audience from leaving, the agency said.
Police units were on their way to the scene.

"Out of sight, out of mind". Remember; Islam is a religion of peace, and the networks are hesitant to cover any event that portrays Muslims in a bad light. Can't disturb the sheeple...Especially when there's no way to deny that this is Islamic terrorism. Will the references to Muslims being allowed to leave make tomorrow's papers? We'll see.

I think there is a mountain range/area in Western Russia that are called "Caucus". Not 100% on that though.

Forgive the dumb question, what does that mean? Caucasian? Caucus descent means from around the Caucus mountain area.. Meaning either Georgian, Chechen, Armenian, Azeri, Osetia,etc.

Like the Bosnian Muslim brigade and King Hussein of Jordan's grandfather the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, much of the Chechen population aided the Nazis against the Russians in World War 2 during their occupation of the Caucusus. In 1945, Stalin had the entire Chechen population removed from Grozny by train and they were dumped in the grasslands of Siberia. They were not allowed to return until the 1970s as I recall.
