Men Hold Moscow Audience Hostage [Reports of 1000 Hostages]

MOSCOW (AP) — Armed men entered a Moscow theater Wednesday and took the audience hostage, the Federal Security Service said.

The theater was holding a performance of the musical Nord-Ost, one of the Russian capital's most popular productions.

The Interfax news agency said one of its reporters was inside the theater at the time of the raid. She told them in a telephone call that the men had fired into the air and were preventing the audience from leaving, the agency said.

Police units were on their way to the scene.

According to lenta.ru, 5 of the show's musicians were able to escape. Also, those actors who were lucky enough to escape through windows are saying that Chechens are acting very aggresively, beating up the hostagers, and there's blood on the floor. They are dressed in fatigues and masks, and there are women with them.

I've long suspected that the "price" for Russia backing a US-backed UN resolution will be assurances that the $60,000,000,000 Iraq owes them will be repaid (and fast) by any new government as well as giving them a free hand to invade the Chechen strongholds Georgia.

Depending on how this ends, we may well see the latter issue solved.

This appears to be in Southeast Moscow, the same area where the Chechen terrorists blew up two apartment buildings three years ago, killing 300 people, many of them children. Depending on how this plays out, I wouldn't want to be a Moscow street seller of fruit from the Caucusus tonite.

More and more of the west is beginning to recognize that the things are sincere when they state that their "religion" requires them to extend islam globally by all means (violent and nonviolent) and that their goal is a global caliphate under islam and shariya, NOT "simply" the destruction of Israel,as many once tried to believe.
