CHICAGO, Illinois (AP) -- A 15-year-old boy accused of attacking a Kansas City Royals coach during a baseball game pleaded guilty and was released to his family until sentencing.
The boy and his father, 34-year-old William R. Ligue Jr., were charged in the September beating of coach Tom Gamboa during a game between the Royals and Chicago White Sox. Gamboa lost some of his hearing.

His sister, Kimberly Richardson, said he has struggled since his month-old daughter's death in May.Sad story. But there's still no evidence Gamboa was responsible for the tragedy.
Since there are no details surrounding the child's death, and Ligue is clearly a violent alcoholic . . .

What a bogus excuse! What in heck does losing a child have to do with trying to beat up a coach? Amazing what people will do to justify a crime.

NO EXCUSE but...
A 15 year old...>>> "said he has struggled since his month-old daughter's death in May.<<<
Meant he was 14 when the child was conceived. What a mess.

Is it clear that it is the 15 year old that was the father? The story is vague . . .

No, it was the father's daughter. The fifteen year old was a half brother

The story is clear "The fifteen year old was released to his family. Ligue remains in jail, his sister said he was crying out for help."
To: LandofLincoln
his sister said he was crying out for help." Yeah. He's obviously a VICTIM.

Nope. It withholds the boy's name and says that he was released until sentencing. Then it says that Ligue remains incarcerated. Only then does it say "his sister".
From the context "his sister" refers to the still-incarcerated Ligue.

Wideawake??? Wake up and go back to sleep! ;-)

Obviously you didn't read the article. It says they will not give the teen's name. It says the teen is being released to his family until sentencing. It says that the father is still in jail. It says that "his sister" - meaning the father, the last male mentioned, says that he, the father, lost his month-old child.
Reading comprehension, people. Reading comprehension.
To: wideawake
don't post it to me, I was the one who knew all along that the sister was the sister to the father
To: LandofLincoln
Oh - maybe I should read more carefully!
To: wideawake
Wideawake, if you go back to your post #5 you will realize that you are the one who questioned if the sister was the boy's sister, or the father's sister. You said the story was VAGUE, only to you, baby! Reading comprehension PLEEEEEAZE

I am here in Chicago, I know the story from the day the trailer was built. No offense to you. Quiet honestly it is a waste of bandwidth

It's a fair cop.
