He didn't say. He just said there was a shot, then ten seconds delay, then two more. WTOP just said more roads are closed (not specific) as far north as Damascus and Columbia and south in D.C.

Thanks. When I hear on scanner that TP PD is oppening up roads, then I'll head out to begin my day. Kid wants to go to school, but she will have to humor me and wait at school until I get off work or a family member can pick her up. No Ride-on commutes in this family. Life continues, but adjustments will be made. I still stand up straight when I pump gas... I just don't stop at gas station withing sight line to trees/cover/park. I'll bet downtown gas stations are doing great business with commuters.

Why are so many here jumping to the conclusion that the guy supposedly asking for the money is the shooter? Real bad thinking from some freepers!

I've been wondering the same thing. Why are they sure it is the shooter and not somebody trying to take advantage of the situation? In kidnappings, there are usually false ransom demands, I would assume the same would hold true for this sort of situation.

I think he will change his MO... The Death card means "change" and the media is reporting that we may see the situation get worse if he does not get his way or the response he desires, they picked this up from the 3 page letter he wrote. It is possible that he tried to get the bus driver and maybe 2 passengers on the bus also? With the way they are blocking everything off he may go to multiple killings at each shooting site so he can get more kills in before he takes off. He not going to be able to pull off another day like he did when he shot the 5 people witin ia few hours and within just miles of each other.

What will this do to voter turn out in the DC area? My gut reaction says that voters will stay home. The sheeple will ask themselves "why take the chance?" If the shootings had already or do spread in the next two weeks the results would be disastrous for teh elections.

While picking up a daughter at dance practice last night I was listening to Focus on the Family with James Dobson. One of the portions of the program was asking kids what they would like to see the president do. One boy answered that he would like to see gun purchases restricted to those who had a license to buy guns. Dr Dobson, did not comment, but it obviously shows what this kids parents talk about.

Since everyone and his brother on TV are throwing out speculations why wouldn't it be possible for an ME terrorist cell to have researched serial killers and just took on a persona to throw off LE. Wondering out loud here...
