Hillary Praised as Gay 'Role Model'

New York Sen. Hillary Clinton couldn't attend her husband's induction into the Black Hall of Fame Saturday night in Arkansas. She was busy with her own awards ceremony in Florida, where Miami's gay community heralded her as "a role model."

"It's wonderful to have a role model, someone we can take pride in who supports us and who doesn't make you feel like second-class citizens," Miami radio host MarkyG told the Dade Human Rights Foundation. "Hillary makes you feel just like everyone else."

Mrs. Clinton was awarded the foundation's 2002 National Impact Award, as 1,400 of the group's members looked on at the Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa in Hollywood, Fl., the Miami Herald said.

"One of the pieces of unfinished business in this country is that we eliminate all vestiges of discrimination and bias and be sure that the laws fully protect all of us," the former first lady told the crowd, adding, "We have a long way to go.... but we are making progress."

Also on hand for the awards ceremony, the woman Mrs. Clinton handpicked to be her husband's attorney general, Janet Reno, who drew some of the crowd's loudest applause.

Of Clinton Reno said, "She speaks volumes for Americans fighting against discrimination."

The foundation chose the occasion of Mrs. Clinton's appearance to announce it's changing its name to "The Gay and Lesbian Foundation of South Florida."

Shouldn't they pick a role model who is out of the closet?

"...Also on hand for the awards ceremony, the woman Mrs. Clinton handpicked to be her husband's attorney general, Janet Reno, who drew some of the crowd's loudest applause..."

If Janet & Hillary played lesbian detectives from San Fran on TV they'd be called 'Sasquatch & Furburger' and they'd drive a VW bus.

Reno's truck would be wrecked in the first episode and Hillary would replace it (without asking Reno) with the microbus. Reno would hate the VW and it would be a constant source of tension-filled conflict between them...

"They're getting away! Step on it Furburger!"

"Dammit Sasquatch, it won't go any faster!"

"My truck could keep up with them."

"You wrecked your truck, Sasquatch."

"I wouldn't have wrecked it if you'd come up for air once and awhile, Furburger!"

And on and on, in this vein.

Except for "her enemies". You can do anything including using FBI files and the media to smear people if she doesn't like you or you don't agree with her.

Bill is an honorary black and Hiliary is an honorary gay, they must be so proud. Of course Hiliary is a real gay, just technically in the closet still.

When you put it all together it is rather amazing isn't it?! lol!

They are getting awards and we're getting screwed by what they left behind. That's the way it is with a bunch of Clintons, et al. They walk away untouched by any of it and their apologists just keep making excuses for them.

It just goes to show how phoney all of these awards really are.

"Here's an award in exchange for you gracing us with your presence. We couldn't afford your speaking fee but think of the prestige (psst, you'll get some press out of it)."

It doesn't matter if it is an honorary doctorate at some university, if it is a lifetime achievement award at some film festival in Spain that no one has heard of, or an award given to you from a chairman of some organization that you appointed into a government office.

A Golden Globe or Grammy award carries more credibility!
