Posted October 19, 2002
...Although various polls have suggested that the governor's race is close, a new survey showing Bush with a 9-point lead over McBride gave cheer to the Republicans on Friday.
The poll by McLaughlin & Associates of Alexandria, Va., done for U.S. Sugar Corp., shows Bush with 49.2 percent to McBride's 40.5 percent, with the remainder undecided. The margin of error was 4 percent. Six hundred people were surveyed by phone Wednesday and Thursday this week.
Jim McLaughlin, the pollster, said Bush was running solidly ahead in all parts of the state except South Florida. The results contrast with a Zogby International poll from last week, showing a three-point lead for the governor....

ZOGBY IS REALLY STARTING TO PISS ME OFF. LOL. Really. When the supposed inpartial pollster starts going on television spinning his numbers to motivate one particular party, he and his polling service become useless tools of the one side.

I got a call (a recorded message) from Barbara Bush the other night, urging us to vote Republican :) I'm reminding all the family to do the same!

See post #157 for the answer to your question about the 1998 race.

I think it is possible he has already hit it, and I do believe it will show up in the polls after this Tuesday's debate.

It is pretty clear the media would like the "big story" on election night to be JEB LOSES, but, I think they are going to end up learning to say: JEB WINS IT AGAIN!

I don't know; I guess they want to know who will be the next governor.

RE your post #154 - ROTFLMAO! But I agree with you - the parodies of Chris Matthews on SNL no longer do Chris justice. Chris has become a parody of himself. How you do satirize THAT???

Yes, but if you're thinking of moving there, HURRY UP! All the real estate is going up in cost daily, and more people keep going there, because FGCU, a new university, has oipened there and all the land values increased a LOT.

I still say that you have to take note of the Zogby polls because he always seems to have inside information on the voter fraud before it happens.

These are great pictures! The St. Pete Times endorsed incumbent CHARLES BRONSON for AG Commissioner in this morning's paper. Could they be going with incumbents this year so they don't look foolish? Could be IMO.
It will be all over after Tuesday's debate. Have you noticed that we have no closeup commercials of McBride talking to us face to face? Everything is a voiceover or a monotone "from afar" remark.
On the other hand with Governor Bush's commercials, we have closeups and he's good with the camera and an excellent speaker.
BREAKING: On this coming Monday, watch for McMumbles to launch his ad blitz targeted at women. I don't know what angle he will use. Just be expecting it on Monday. (they are doing this because it appears by their data that Jeb is polling higher than the norm with women for a Republican candidate.) Of course Jeb's polling higher with women. He loves Florida women - of all ages.

I liked the story about Bob Kunst. He sounds like he might be a great help to Bush.
If you are from Florida, I wish that you would please e-mail O'Reilly and tell him that Bush's hands are basicly tied when it comes to oversight of the unionized gov't workers in the Florida Social Services dept. ( I was told that this is the case, I hope it's true.)

Glad you liked the Bob Kunst link, above. He has 1% of the vote and may win more! :)
