Some new dates to consider for their impact on ancient civilizations: 6,300BC, 4,200BC and 2,000BC. The below link may explain the 2,000BC event.

Such cataclysmic weather-related events without man's influence? No SUVs. No factories. How can it be?

As you know, I believe in Noah's flood. I keep waiting for some of those ice cores from up north to show evidence. But nothing.

Whether a person believes in Noah's flood or not, to scoff at catastrophies is silly.

A semi-redundant ping, on a topic from very early on in GGG history. Last one for the night, perhaps for the week. :')

Lake Victoria, Africa's largest lake, is home to more than 300 species of cichlids. These fish, which are popular in aquariums, are deep-bodied and have one nostril, rather than the usual two, on each side of the head. Seismic profiles and cores of the lake taken by a team headed by Thomas C. Johnson of the University of Minnesota, reveal that the lake dried up completely about 12,400 years ago. This means that the rate of speciation of cichlid fishes has been extremely rapid: something on average of one new species every 40 years!
Interesting that Lake Victoria ceased to be, then came back, and all so recently.

"the victims of global warming"

BS. The shrinking ice is the result of deforestation. The winds blowing up the slopes pick up less moisture .

“Whatever happened to cause these dramatic climate changes in the past, could certainly occur again,”

But climate could be held stagnant if only we would give algore and his global pals access to the National Treasury and central control over the globe's energy use! But no! We, the haters of science and the enviornment, just let the climate change! We are so “stupid.” Now they are going to have to sterilize mankind. See what happens!
